Genshin Time Conversion
IRL
1 day = 1,440 minutes 1 year = 1,440 × 365.25 = 525,960 minutes
Ratio IRL : Genshin = 1 : 60
By 1 : 60 ratio, 1 minute IRL = 1 hour in Genshin
An IRL century has 52,596,000 minutes = 52,596,000 hours in Genshin
52,596,000 ÷ 24 = 2,191,500 (number of Genshin days)
2,191,500 ÷ 365.25 = 6,000 (number of Genshin years)
THEREFORE I CONCLUDE THAT ZHONGLI IS AT LEAST 100 YEARS OLD IRL (because lore says he's at least 6,000)
A Genshin century IRL (in hours) is:
100 × 365.25 × 24 = 876,600 876,600 Genshin hours = 876,600 IRL minutes 876,600 ÷ 1440 = 608.75 (number of IRL days) 608.75 ÷ 365.25 = 1⅔ IRL years, or 1 year and 243.5 days
This has been done half-asleep and very quickly, so if there are any errors, please point them out!

8 Shows to Get to Know Me
thank you for tagging me josi @wanderlust-in-my-soul ♥ am always happy to talk about shows that are important to me~
(tried to write these down in order from oldest to newest! meaning: when they came into my life and changed me)
I. Merlin (2008-2012)
one of the first shows i ever watched from a streaming site (aka illegally online haha), tho i did start watching it while it was airing on our tv. i adore the atmosphere, the world, the characters, and the whole journey throughout all five seasons. it feels whole. the fandom here is also amazing, even if i mostly watch it from afar ♥
II. Theory of Love (2019)
am not really sure when exactly i watched this for the first time, but i have vague memories of the last ep or the special ep only having just aired. it was one of my first introductions to bls - to good and more thoughtful bls - and i loved it with my whole chest. after rewatching it a year ago, i can still say it’s one of those shows that has rearranged something permanently in me.
III. Sense8 (2015-2018)
the show that feels like it was made for me. it’s just so full of things i love: fantasy, mysteries, action, character bonds, found family, love, acceptance, understanding, and even psychological themes. i love each of the characters very dearly and enjoyed all of their relationships with each other. i also loved what this show did with intimacy, both the emotional and physical kind, by showing how it can be a source of great comfort.
IV. The Untamed (2019)
my first ever cdrama that opened up a whole new world for me. it became one of my first ever big hyperfixations, one of my great loves. it let me dive into the world of other cdramas and so even more great shows. and it brought me to many new things and ppl here on tumblr after leading me into editing and so to the mdzs network ♥
V. The Lost Tomb 2 / Explore With The Note (2019)
i cannot really pack dmbj into only one show bc each of the adaptations has given me something to chew on, but tlt2 is always my baby. it is the show that made me love pingxie, the show that made me insane about their story, and the show i would die for. it gave me serious brainrot for such a long time, and even if it’s not the best one of the adaptations, it’s still very, very dear to me.
VI. You’re My Glory (2021)
i never thought a romance show would get to me but this one did in so many ways. it taught me some precious lessons and i think it changed how i see accomplishments, dreams, and working hard to reach personal goals. it gave me hope and strength, and it just made me believe in love that is comfortable and adjusts to your needs.
VII. Bad Buddy (2021)
the show that changed me about a year ago. the show that somehow opened up a lock inside of me, that allowed me to feel new things, that comforted me and understood me. idk if any bl can ever feel as much home as bb does. little did i know that when i started watching this silly bl during the christmas it was still airing, it would consume me, heart and soul, and then lead me here, wrapped up in this bl world.
VIII. Vice Versa (2022)
if there’s one show to define me right now, to define me for the past year, it’s vice versa. it’s everything to me in every sense. it’s a show i go to when i want to cry, or smile, or feel warm, or happy, or sad, or delighted, or comforted, or loved. it’s a show that feels like a hug, a show that heals me in all the ways i need to be healed. it means so much to me. and it doesn’t hurt that it’s still one of the most beautiful bls i’ve ever seen ♥ (i could write essays of vv, tho at the same time it feels like the jane austen quote, “if i loved you less, i might be able to talk about it more”)
some honorary mentions:
The Long Ballad (2021), Not Me (2021), My Country: The New Age (2019), The Blood of Youth (2022), and 3 Will Be Free (2019)
tagging: @leonpob @stormyoceans @dimpledpran @hils79 @psychic-waffles @ardentlytess @oswlld @sanoreo ♥
#tag game#this was a lot of fun ^^#tho choosing shows was extremely difficult#especially when i don't remember all of them lol#but these came to me first so here we are!#also fun to see that msot of these shows#are from 2019#a good year huh#edit: i apparently do not know how to count

SAGAU Worldbuilding Brainrot
What if, as the Creator, you put in place a mailing system?
In this order: nation (eg. Mondstadt [1]) -> region (eg. Brightcrown Mountains [1.1]) -> landmark location (eg. Stormterror's Lair [1.1.2])
And the mailing system would help to narrow down the location so that the poor mailmen and women don't have to go running all over trying to find people.
So national location code (eg. Dawn Winery [1.4.1]) -> organisation's location (if applicable) -> where you want the letter sent specifically (eg. office, front desk, or if you want to send it just to their mailbox, then don't write anything at all)
The numberings would be chronologically according to the places the Traveller has gone, and the mail would be written something like this:
To: Acting Grand Sage Alhaitham Postage: 4.1.3.4 The Sumeru Akademiya Grand Sage's Office
Or
To: Director Hu Tao Postage: 2.1.5.2 Wangsheng Funeral Parlour Front Desk
OR
To: Kamisato Ayato Postage: 3.1.8 Commissioner's Office
Notice how Ayato's (and Diluc's in the example) doesn't have a general location specified (eg. Kamisato Estate, Dawn Winery)?
That's because on the map of Teyvat in-game,
THE KAMISATO ESTATE AND DAWN WINERY ARE ALREADY NAMED.
This has been an in-class 5-minute worldbuilding brainrot.
If you want the full taste of my brainrot, the Google Doc link to the locational sectioning is here (it will be updated as the regions come out, so do look forward to that!).

Genshin Timeline Confirmation
WARNING: REFERENCING OF GENSHIN FONTAINE 4.2 ARCHON QUEST ENDING. PLEASE TURN BACK NOW IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED THE AQ, OR BE AT RISK OF SPOILERS.
GUYS
FONTAINE ESSENTIALLY EXECUTED FOCALORS, THE HYDRO ARCHON, VIA "GUILLOTINE" (OF SORTS).
AND FONTAINE IS CONFIRMED TO BE BASED OFF FRANCE.
WHICH MEANS THAT FOCALORS' EXECUTION IS EQUIVALENT TO THE EXECUTION OF MARIE ANTOINETTE, THE LAST QUEEN OF FRANCE BEFORE THE FRENCH REVOLUTION.
MARIE ANTOINETTE WAS EXECUTED ON OCTOBER 16, 1793.
SO THAT MEANS WE NOW HAVE A TIMELINE FOR GENSHIN'S HISTORY IN CONJUNCTION TO IRL HISTORY.
IT'S BREAKDOWN TIME!
WHAT HAPPENED IN COUNTRIES IN 1793
MONDSTADT = GERMANY = Holy Roman Empire (962-1806) LIYUE = IMPERIAL CHINA = Qing Dynasty (1636-1912) INAZUMA = SHOGUNATE JAPAN = Edo Period (1603-1868) SUMERU (RAINFOREST) = SOUTH ASIA + MIDDLE EAST = too many areas to cover, completely unsure (India: Early-Modern period, British occupation of majority of India, mass-industrialisation) SUMERU (DESERT) = EGYPT = Ottoman Empire (1299-1922) FONTAINE = FRANCE = End of the French Monarchy NATLAN = PRE-COLUMBIAN LATIN AMERICA + WEST AFRICA = unsure SNEZHNAYA = RUSSIA = Russian Empire (1721-1917) under Catherine II (overthrew her husband, Peter III; she ruled 1762-1796)
Let me know if you guys like and want more stuff like this, I'll go deep-dive for more research if you guys like it! ♥

Genshin Time Conversion Pt. 2
A continuation of this post.
A few common IRL timings and their conversion into Genshin time:
Sleep (8h): 8 × 60 ÷ 24 = 20 days
School/Work (9AM to 6PM = 9h) = 9 × 60 ÷ 24 = 22.5 days
Eating, Bathing, etc. (30 min): 30 hours = 1.25 days
Steeping green tea (3 min): 3 hours
Essentially the easiest way to calculate Genshin time from IRL time is:
Minutes (IRL) = Hours (Genshin)
Happy calculating~!

Genshin Time Conversion Pt. 3 (Formula)
So, I got tired of rewatching my K-dramas and animes for the millionth time and came up with simultaneous equations to ease people's age conversions from IRL to Genshin.
525960x = y y÷8766 = z
Where both x and z are in years, and y is in minutes.
x will be your age in years IRL, and z will similarly be your age in years in Genshin!
Of course, in reverse, we'd have:
8766z = y y÷525960= x
Happy calculating~!

SAGAU Worldbuilding Brainrot (2)
To expound on this, here is an excerpt from the Welcome Letter that the Teyvat General Mailing System (TGMS) sends its partners (those that mail with them).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you for choosing the Teyvat General Mailing System (TGMS)! We are pleased to be able to serve your postal needs and look forward to partnering with you!
Here are some rules that the TGMS requires all partners to follow.
New partners:
Please proceed to the nearest TGMS post office to claim your complimentary copy of the Teyvat Standardised Locational Codes Guide. We will be using this as our system of mailing.
The Guide also lists the standardised way of addressing a letter. Please refer to Page 4 for general outlines and a brief explanation and page 17 for a comprehensive guide.
When posting a letter, there are three ways:
Assisted: The first is to speak directly to the administrative staff at the post office. They will check your post and assist you with any issues. Automated: Should you not wish to speak with anyone, we have an automated posting system near the entrance. You may feed your post through the appropriate slots and have the option of choosing whether you would like to post your letters and packages together or separately. Delayed: You may also utilise our holding lockers to store packages and letters containing valuables or antiques. You may also set a posting date and a "Remind Me" option. (Should you choose to be reminded, we will send you a notice a day before mailing, asking for your consent to post. Replying in a negative will delay your posting for at least three days, or however many days you specify, after which we will send another notice to inform you of your post's mailing.)
All posting options include the following choices:
When to mail your post (departure/arrival). Mailing multiple posts (letters and packages) together or separately. Delaying the time of your post on your specified day. (Eg. June 21st, 6:00 AM, delayed to 2:00 PM)
General Reminders:
When you submit a letter to the TGMS for mailing, please note that we will make at least three copies of it for archival and backup purposes.
We will also check all post for potentially harmful substances and items. You may find a list of contraband items that TGMS will not mail on Page 74 of the Teyvat Standardised Locational Codes Guide.
Should there be an instance where you have incorrectly filled in any section, you may send a notice to the nearest TGMS post office to notify us of the error and subsequent correction. We will halt the postage of your first letter and remove a copy from the archives for resending.
Please indicate all sections on the envelope.
Should there be an empty section, the TGMS will hold the letter and send a notice to your home/last recorded address of stay for you to come to your nearest post office to correct your error.
Once again, thank you for choosing the TGMS, and we look forward to a fruitful partnership with you!
Signing off,
Ballad ♥

I Hate You
The WANDERER hates the Creator.
He hates how they always bring him everywhere, making him run around, first in Inazuma and then in Sumeru, as if he were some kind of puppet (he is) to be controlled (he isn't).
He hates that they claim to love him best, love him most, and then they turn right around and make him work for his own materials.
He hates how they play til the wee hours of the morning, their clock ticking over to two, three, four, sometimes even five in the morning and yet they don't sleep. (Don't their eyes hurt and their fingers cramp?)
He hates how much they love his voice, to the point that they constantly make him talk just to listen to his voicelines and say unnecessarily sweet things about his voice.
He really hates it; all of it.
But most of all, he hates how he can't hate them too much.
They love him, after all, and he knows it's true when they bring him everywhere, not getting tired of him at all.
So maybe he doesn't hate them as much as he thought.
