The park was established in 1968 and was declared a tiger reserve under Project Tiger in 1993. Apart from tigers, the park is also home to a wide variety of other wildlife such as leopards, sloth bears, deer, wild dogs, and over 250 species of birds. It is surrounded by the Vindhya mountain ranges and is located at an altitude of 800 meters. Bandhavgarh National Park Safari is divided into three zones for tourism purposes-Tala, Magdhi, and Khitauli. The Tala zone is the most popular and is known for its high density of tigers. Visitors can take jeep safaris or elephant safaris to explore the park and spot wildlife. Geology- Bandhavgarh National Park Madhya Pradesh is situated on Bandhavgarh Hill, which is part of the Vindhya mountain range. The Vindhya Range is a complex geological region that consists of several rock formations, including sandstones, shales, and limestones.
