Bee and Puppycat: Lazy in Space ~ Day Off Work

Honestly re: Bee's maturity I really did love how in Lazy in Space once Cardamon has his breakdown where he admits how bad things are and points out that he's just a kid who shouldn't have to figure it all out Bee acknowledges that she forgot that he was so young and then makes a conscious effort to step in and take care of him.

Idk I just appreciate that while it would be very easy for them to put Bee entirely in the "lazy careless selfish hedonist character" box, since she does have those tendencies and kinda fits it on the surface, the second they start actually digging into her real personality you find out that she really cares about everyone around her so much and just wants to help and a lot of the time when she does get carried away it's because she was focused too much on helping and hardly ever because she was focused on herself.

Needless to say the ep where it's her birthday and Puppycat is working his ass off to fulfill her(frankly insane) wish for cake to be everywhere the fact that she eventually just starts to focus on Cardamon and puts him first because he's a kid who needs her made me cry a little. Bee's so good inside she really is T-T
