The movie’s ad posters in HK stated that “new hero is needed in a new century.” Do we really need to look for any new hero to safe us from our own scrapyards or the tyranny that oppresses us. 

All they need to do is looking forward to themselves to be like Alita, “ I do not standby in the presence of evil.” That is how people may turn a dystopian world of future to a better place.

That is how Alita movie 1 ends: the ‘little girl’ points her sword toward the mysterious manipulating Salem that is up in the sky controlling the lives of people who live as slaves down there.

“I am just a nobody girl.” 

“That what they wanted you to think of yourself.” 

“You are very special. That’s why they come after you.”

Alita finally remembers her unfinished mission from the last great fall: to destroy this evil place.

Battle Angel Alita, known in Japan as Gunnm (銃夢 / Ganmu / literally "gun dream"), is a manga series created by Yukito Kishiro in 1990, originally published in Shueisha's Business Jump magazine.

The series is set in the post-apocalyptic future and focuses on Alita, a cyborg who has lost all memories and is found in a garbage heap by a cybernetics doctor who rebuilds and takes care of her. The story traces Alita's attempts to rediscover her past and the characters whose lives she impacts on her journey. The manga series is continued in Battle Angel Alita: Last Order and Battle Angel Alita: Mars Chronicle.

Two of the nine-volume comics were adapted into anime OVA episodes titled Battle Angel, with no more being made due to focus being directed at the manga itself. Now according to James Cameron the tech is powerful enough and a live-action film adaptation is scheduled for release July 20, 2018 with the title Alita: Battle Angel Cameron also brought Robert Rodriguez* in to help, which is exciting as hell.
