im not a huge stranger things fan BUT vocal/mouth stimming stevie is soooo true he’s popping his lips to make the bubble sound and humming and going ‘bah-bah-bah’ under his breath and repeating something funny he heard lucas say and singing the same two lines from a song eddie’s been listening to religiously (echolalia my beloved And beloathed) !!! he also snaps his fingers and stomps his feet and he’s so me !!!

i think eddie would be a Big Stimmer that boy gets the zoomies!!!!! loudly hand-drumming songs on his thighs or steve’s thighs or shoulders or butt or tummy !!!! pinwheeling his arms and kicking his feet !!! shaking like a dog out the bath !!!!

we know that all the demigods are on the neurodivergent spectrum but i think their godly parents are all also on that spectrum.

zeus stims with his bolt by tapping his nails against the edge or knocking it against his knee. he has accidentally zapped hera and others at least every other meeting. he also hyperfixates on how mortals can predict the weather. he secretly thinks it’s really neat.

poseidon has to have curtains over the windows in his meeting room because he will look up every 5 seconds whenever a fish swims by. he also picks at his nails and taps his feet when he’s thinking hard. he also can get random bursts of energy that stops him from sleeping every few nights before he collapses since he’ll use this time to get as much done as possible.

hades will pretend to listen when he has an audience in his throne room but is actually counting the souls within his robes for the 100th time. he also clicks his tongue whenever he’s thinking about something. eye contact is rather way to much or none at all. he has not figured out the right balance for that yet.

apollo vocally stims. what do you think all of his random poetry is? he’ll also hum the same 10 seconds of a song over and over for days on end. and he’ll shimmy in place when he stands still for too long. he also has some rsd (rejection sensitivity disorder, i think that’s the name) so when people make jokes about his poetry or music, he gets genuinely upset. he’ll pretend it’s all fine though.

athena actually has executive dysfunction and will sometimes have to literally force herself (with her godly powers) to accomplish the to-do list she made for the day. she also rehearses what she says to others before she has to speak with them. it’s easier to make sure she doesn’t make any mistakes.

hermes almost has something like the zoomies. he’ll take a few minutes and go run a few laps and stim (usually flapping his hands or stomping) before he needs to deliver his next package. he might take a second to jump up and down for a bit to get his energy out.

hephaestus created hyperfixation. whether it’s a new invention or a topic he heard one of his kids mention. he will not stop focusing on it for months if not years. since time works differently for gods anyways. he also can get very apathetic so he has to remind himself how to interact with others so he doesn’t offend them with a blunt comment or a lack of interest. (i’m not projecting at all)

aphrodite uses her makeup and hair as an excuse to stim. she’ll fix up her hair or makeup every for minutes for a reason to move her hands. she and ares have a deal where he’ll let her know if someone is being sarcastic because, unless she’s doing it or it’s very obvious, she can’t recognize it.

demeter genuinely likes plant life more than other people. (don’t blame her) it’s a little cliche that her special interest would be her domain but she genuinely loves to learn about plants. she’ll even look into the ways that mortals study and understand plants.

ares has major rsd (rejection sensitivity disorder). when he’s told to wait a second or if someone has to reschedule something, it really gets to him even though he logically knows that it doesn’t mean they hate him now (again, not projecting at all). this is a big reason for why he is so blunt and aggressive with others (in the pjo universe) bc the less people he’s close too, the less people can push him away. (i’m talking about his kids, specifically)

Mr. D likes to drink wine for the mouth feel. he likes how tart and sour wines make the inside of his mouth feel tight (projection). he also only has 2 demigod children (in canon) bc he doesn’t like the thought of having 3 because it’ll make the number uneven. and then with more kids, since he’s at camp, that’s more people he has to be emotionally available for.

this is just my opinion. i just think they’re neat.

ive always loved her like, she went from being this kind person who was a pushover and honestly not really knowing what to do or say mostly just a background character to being one of those most intelligent people on the show and being able to stand her ground, and by intelligent I mean as in emotionally mostly, she was able to comfort baseball on the docks in episode 14, and was able to point out what the hell was wrong with test tube's handling of the situation with fan before anybody else could, she can read people a lot easier than others can and I love that

I love her soft demeanor so fucking much, with her development in more recent episodes it blends so DAMN PERFECTLY, having a soft nice character that is not ALL nice and is able to stand up for themselves is such a nice fresh breath of air, as most object show characters either have the stereotypical nice character or make the stereotypical nice character a shitty person, which is tiring because "nice character" does not mean "ignorant", it does not mean "Mary sue", it does not mean "blissful", ot never did, a nice character is someone who is genuinely good at heart, has flaws, has made mistakes, but is still able to be a kind person and help others, suitcase has made mistakes like trying to impress the ones who've hurt her in the past, and being a bit too, blunt at times (like with the test tube situation and how she explained to her how she was hurting fan, lightbulb was able to explain in a lot kinder and more understandable way to her), but she's still a good person in general

I've always been one for headcannons and I absolutely adore autistic suitcase so fucking much, as she doesn't comprehend things the way others might (like how she sometimes comprehends nickels sarcasm as genuine, for example episode 10 where she mistook nickels sarcastic comment about making balloons team captain), I feel like a lot of her stims come through her feet abd especially her EYES, A lot of language in the series involving suitcase involves her eyes, rapidly looking away and looking backvwhen she's nervous, stomping her feet when she's happy, examining things a lot closer than some might, JUST AAAAAA, she comprehends the world a lot differently and I think that's why she was so surprised and upset when test tube didn't understand what she meant when talking about the egg and how it hurt fan, she thought test tube would get it that way because SHE got it that way, and textures oh my god I think suitcase would HATE brick texture fsr like shes the number 1 brick hater!!! food textures she doesn't like?? slushy stuff she cannot go out during slushy snow days because it's so eghhuj to her, I would talk about her visions too but honestly idk if I have right to speak on that but GOSHH, autistic suitcase

i made a @sparklecarehospital oc/self insert !!! jus a bust fr now bc im kinda tired but

som more info/jus things abt him:

never wears a shirt unless hes Not wearing his binder bc he hates how it feels when th shirt fabric shifts against his binder 

kills has to remind him Periodically to take off his binder n do stretches bc he forgets bc hes bad at time

he makes stim toys fr the kids n buys em from the gift shop too if a kid needs one tht hes not able to make

he had the idea of sensory rooms fr the patients, like Multiple ones w dif purposes

(he had to Beg mr meaty to let him make rooms w v low dim lights and dull colors fr the people who need darkness n get overstimulated too easily w bright lights and colors)

he pops his joints a Lot n always carries bandaids n cloth bandages w him bc he picks n scratches n chews his skin a lot bc Stimmy n also dermatillomania/phagia

when he changes out of his binder n into other clothes its always th same outfit bc its Cozy and he likes going to gift shop to get new versions when his get torn or too small or too worn out bc they always have perfect exact replicas but in new sizes

he rly likes hanging upside down from his tail n swingin but falls asleep sometimes n falls , like if u cant find him just look fr the nearest thing tht he could hang from and hes probably there

he gets overloaded a lot easier when its quiet than he does when its loud so he always has headphones w him so he can listen to his Loud music if he needs

he doesnt wear shoes either n he likes how rough his paw pads are on his feets

he has a lot of body stims !!!!!! he flaps a lot, wraps his tail around his arm, stomps his feet, etc

when he gets overloaded sometimes if its really bad he barfs up or drools static n his eyes go all staticy too

hes an age regressor !! n regresses to 8-10 

ALWAYS V LOUD and likes to pop out of places and forgets that that scares people
