I’m sorry I’m so sorry but STAGED SERIES 3 WAS FILMED AFTER GOOD OMENS SEASON 2 WAS DONE FILMING. Staged series 3 aired about NINE MONTHS before Good Omens season 2. Staged series 3 ends with a long shot of David and Michael staring at each other across a table and within zoom screens as the set is dismantled around them and they bid a goodbye to this program that popped up during a time they needed it but isn’t needed anymore. Just. Staring. At each other. I think they’re even on the correct sides of the screen. I’m not sure right now. BUT. THEY SURELY HAD TO KNOW. THEY HAD TO KNOW THAT WAS GOING TO BE THE EDITING CHOICE MADE FOR THE SEASON 2 FINALE. THE SERIES 3 ENDING IS TOO POINTED. And if they didn’t know. WHAT A COINCIDENCE. Unless the Staged finale is what influenced the GO2 finale. And. It’s. It’s just. Michael voicing that he needs a break from “Michael and David.” David being afraid to let go but being encouraged that it’s the best choice. Stepping forward into a new world as separate and healthier entities. They aren’t the same story but the parallels and the connections and the flips of the scripts HURT ME.
