I decided to create a fun monochromatic beauty look. Purple is not my go-to shade, but I was inspired to create a monochromatic purple look. Keep reading to see the result.

Monochromatic Beauty Look:

So many YouTubers have created monochromatic looks. I love the look of them. However, I have never attempted one myself. This theme was a stretch for me because I had no idea what color I wanted to use.

I looked through my lipstick drawer and found a fun lilac purple shade. That shade was what inspired me to create a fun purple monochromatic look. I hardly ever wear purples, but I really love how this look turned out! What do you think of this look? Have you ever created a monochromatic look? What color would you choose? I created a Night Out Date Night Beauty look.

For this theme, I decided to create a gorgeous night out beauty look, sure to impress. Although any great boyfriend will love you just the way you are, it is still nice to doll yourself up every once in awhile. If you feel confident, your man will notice too.

I also included a few date night ideas. It is always fun to come up with fun date nights. Date nights don’t have to be expensive. Some of the best dates I have ever been on were FREE (besides gas, of course).

For my look, I also tested some new products I recently received. I hope you enjoy the look. Let me know what you like to do for nights out. I would love some new ideas too!

My Thoughts:

I really loved these lashes so much! They were very easy to use and are great quality. The lash bands are relatively thick so I definitely recommend using black eyeliner before applying. I used the Alice lashes for my night out look and they lasted all night. They really finished off my look. My eyes looked so gorgeous and huge. Joseph loved them and gave me so many compliments. Overall, I am really impressed with these lashes and totally recommend them. They are stunning lashes and I will be able to get a few uses out of each pair. I can’t wait to wear them again!

My Thoughts:

I am so excited that this line launched at Ulta and I couldn’t wait to create a look with the products I received. The packaging is gorgeous and there are so many products in the line! I am definitely going to have to pick up more!

Here are my thoughts on the products I received:

Mattifying Face Base Face Primer:

This primer is really nice and is such a large size. I will have this bottle for such a long time because a little goes a long way. I did a great job at mattifying my face and it is very similar to Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. It sinks into the skin quickly and I was impressed. I will continue to use this primer.

Colour Chrome Eyeshadow Palette:

I love the shades included in this eyeshadow palette. They are cream eyeshadows and are very easy to use. I love the extra touch they gave my smokey eye. The included brush is also very nice. I did find the cream shadows tend to crease throughout the day. However, my look lasted throughout my entire night out. They might work best as bases with shadow on top. Overall, I really enjoyed the palette and I can’t wait to create more looks using it.

Lix Matte Liquid Lipstick in Strawberry Mojito:

This lipstick shade is stunning and added to my sexy look. It smells like mint which I really enjoyed. I was impressed that it lasted on my lips for my entire date. I didn’t have to touch up at all. It was very easy to apply and felt decently comfortable on the lips. I found that it wasn’t overly drying. Overall, I am impressed and will totally have to pick up more shades.

Date Night / Night Out Ideas:

1.) Take A Hike With An Included Picnic

I love hiking and it is a great time to bond. There is nothing like being in nature and seeing all its beauty. Your significant other can also totally hold your hand and help you up a huge hill or through a creek. I love when Joseph helps me. It is so darn cute. Make sure to pack a picnic too. After all that walking, you are bound to be hungry. Picnics are so romantic and so fun.

2.) Go To A Museum

Joseph and I love going to museums for dates. They are so fun and you totally learn a ton too. I always love learning new things. Museum dates are relatively inexpensive too. Be sure to check for deals online and on Groupon.

3.) Tour Huge Homes (And Dream, Of Course)

I am a total sucker for huge homes. They are also so fun to tour. Check to see if any homes in your area are available to tour. You can always dream about your future together and decide what you would like to have in your dream home.

4.) Go To A Flower Garden

Flowers are just so gorgeous and are fun to look at. Go to a flower garden and look around. Be sure to stop and smell the fragrant flowers and grab a few to take home (if you are allowed, of course).

5.) Have A Starry Night Date

I love star gazing. It is so romantic and makes for an amazing date night. There are even apps you can download to help you find different constellations. Grab a ton of pillows and blankets to create a huge comfy area for watching the stars. Let me know if you see a few shooting stars too. Don’t forget to make a wish!

6.) Go On A Progressive Dinner Date

A progressive dinner date is such a unique date. You eat different parts of your meal at different restaurants. It is a great way to try different foods from different places. Start by having an appetizer at one restaurant. Enjoy, pay, and move on to the main entree at the next restaurant. Finally, finish with dessert at the last restaurant.

7.) Drive-In Movie

I love drive-in movies so much. The atmosphere is more fun than traditional movies. Plus, you get to see two movies for less than the price of one. If you haven’t been to a drive-in movie, look up where the closest one is in your area and go. I just know you are going to love them!

8.) Go Fishing

Fishing just isn’t for guys. Girls can have a blast fishing too. It is very relaxing and soothing. Try it sometime and be sure to include your date! Let me know how many fish you catch!

The above pictures show all the fun we had at the Boonshoft Museum Of Discovery. This is such a fun place to go to and there is so much to see. I seriously love museum dates so much.

Be sure to scroll through the pictures to see all that we did. Joseph really enjoyed all the dinosaurs and I loved all the animals. We also both really enjoyed the Planetarium show. It was soo cool. I also hope you also enjoyed the video we took of our date. If you are ever in Ohio, definitely check out the Boonshoft Museum Of Discovery.

I decided to create a fun spring inspired look. Pastels and bright colors scream spring to me. For an added bonus, I have included a couple of my current favorite spring fragrances. Keep reading to see the result.

Spring Beauty Fun Look:

I love bright colors and pastels for spring. For this look, I added some fun rhinestones as eyeliner. I really like how the eye look turned out. It definitely is a fun look for spring. What do you think of the look? Do you enjoy pastel colors?

This theme stumped me a bit and totally made me think. Therefore, I decided to share a beauty look with you (not necessarily new) that will be my go-to look this new year. New Year New Look Beauty:

For New Year, New Look, I decided to create a metallic beauty look. I was recently sent more Touch In Sol products from Glamour Flare. These products are amazing and they are going to be my go-to products for 2016. I really can’t get enough of them! They are so pigmented and last ALL DAY! I really can’t rave about them enough. Be sure to check out my End Of Fall beauty look for even more inspiration on how to use these amazing beauty products. What do you think of the look?

Touch In Sol Product Highlights:

Touch In Sol Metallist Liquid Foil & Glitter Shadow Duos in Lottie (used for this look) & Talia: I can’t rave about these enough! They are so easy to use and crazy pigmented! I love how metallic they are and they are hands down one of my favorite eye products ever!

Brow Expert Bar Brow Pencil & Brow Mascara: I love that this product is a 2-in-1. The brow pencil is on one side and the brow gel is on the other side. It is so convenient and easy to use.

Paper Pusher Stretch Fiber Lengthening Mascara: This is a fiber mascara that isn’t messy. I liked it, but I wouldn’t say it is my favorite mascara ever. Many coats were used before achieving my desired look. I think it would be a great everyday mascara.

Flawless Skin Top Coat: This is an awesome foundation. I love the dropper and it is full-coverage (you can totally build it up for more coverage). It is also very easy to blend.

Go Extreme High Definition Lip Laquer in Azalea & Baby Rose (used for this look): I love these lip products. They are easy to use and feel very comfortable on the lips. They give the lips a light stain and last all day. I definitely need more colors.

1.) Beauty Blogger Coach

I will be launching a coaching site for beauty/fashion bloggers this year! I am so excited about this and the site is almost complete. My goal is to help beauty/fashion bloggers contact and connect with brands. I have worked with many companies and I want to pass along all my secrets. I just can’t wait for it to be finished and to start booking clients!

2.) Beauty Experiments

Beauty Experiments is another site that I will be launching this year! I will be testing all things beauty. The post set up is much like a lab report (Remember…I am a total science nerd). This site is going to be so much fun. Here you will find:

Beauty challenges accepted

Makeup testing in a whole new light

Hacks and beauty myths debunked

Secrets from beauty companies

Beauty blogger experiments

And SO MUCH MORE

For example, I might experiment with creating my own beauty line and you will be able to follow along with me on each step of the process. I might experiment with creating a viral post with each step (wins and fails) documented. There will be so many awesome experiments on this site and I think it will be a whole new beauty experience. I can’t wait to finally launch it! Stay tuned!

3.) Social Media

I plan to really up my social media game plan this year. Therefore, I created a separate Instagram account (@eandnbeautycreator) for all my beauty looks and experiments. My main account (@eandnblog) will include beauty blogger tips, quotes, subscription boxes, and occasional beauty product testing.

Pinterest will also be a huge social media strategy for me this year. It has quickly become my #1 social media traffic source.

I also hope to start going live more on Instagram and in my Facebook Group (Beauties On Fire). The one bad thing about living in the country is the internet.

4.) Beauties On Fire

Beauties On Fire has become such an amazing Facebook Group. I plan to take it to more heights in 2017. All the ladies in the group are just so amazing and we all really help each other. I have learned so much from this group and I continue to learn every single day. I highly recommend joining if you haven’t yet!

We have also changed the collab to a monthly collab to allow for more creation time. It will also free up time for other posts/blog duties.

5.) Everything & Nothin’

If you haven’t noticed yet, I am redesigning Everything & Nothin’! I love being self-hosted because I am able to design my site exactly how I want. Speed and functionality are also improvements I am making with my new theme. Finally, I am starting to love my site design. My site has changed many times throughout 2016 (totally a perfectionist) and I am so happy I finally found a theme (Extra by Divi) that I love!

I will continue posting beauty and subscription box content on Everything & Nothin’. I have transitioned to posting mainly only beauty and subscription box related content. I am still working out my niche for this site.

Finally, my best friend since childhood (Kristen) will be joining me on the site. She will be reviewing products on the site as well as on her Instagram (@ kristen_m_beauty). Be sure to show her some love. You will see her popping in every now and again!
