Pairing: Ronin!Clint Batron x Black Cat!Reader

A/N: ENDGAME SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN IT, DON’T READ THIS!!!

After the snap, the avengers split apart. Finding their own ways to cope. Clint found his under a new identity, Ronin. Getting revenge for those they lost. For the family taken from them. The evil left when heroes were wiped out, it became his mission to take out the evil. All while keeping a list of those who could help, if needed one day. Clint stumbles upon a woman, Cat. She’s a mystery in the dark. One happen stance meet, one night, gone like smoke.

After the second snap, setting the world right again. Fury is looking at those kept tabs on. When Cat appears on the screen, nobody know a lot about the mysterious woman who haunted Clint’s dreams and stole his favorite T-shirt. There’s a chance she’s in trouble, can Clint find her, convince her there is more, that he can save her? But is he the cause of what’s after her? Just what mystery is she keeping all to herself? Or is he the one she’s trying to save?

His jaw worked in angry ticks. Chewing the inside of his cheek to keep his tongue from lashing out. What was he supposed to do, sit there and watch? Bucky’s hand slips up Y/N’s bare arm and his hand grips his knees to keep him in place. His girl. His best friend. Having their own private conversation on the edge of the room. Her head tips slowly to one side, as if she was listening to his own internal struggle.

Clint clenches his jaw. Looking away from the two off to the side of the room. He cuts his eyes to Nat who sat at the other end of the couch. It’s pouring rain this morning, everyone was kicked back waiting for it to clear. Or till they were called to run out the door. He slips towards Nat, her eyes cut up from her book watching him.

“What?” She lifts a brow.

“Nothing.” He shrugs. His arm slips over the back of the couch, behind her. If Buck could do it, so could Clint. Not that he was actually into Nat, that was more like finding your sister attractive.

“Why are you near me Barton?” Nat sighs, not looking up from her book this time.

“How are you?” He smiles at her. “Good?” Now she looks up at him, like she was waiting for him to confess his sins.

“Better, if you moved away from me.” She snorts.

“You and Buck. Good?” He nods slowly. She looks passed him, at the two still talking. She rolls her eyes, her hand comes up.

“Get away from me, Clint.” Covering his face, she shoves him back. He goes over, before straightening up a little farther away from her now.

“Nat.” He scuffs.

“Drama Queen.” Nat smirks back at her book.

“She talks to him, but not me.” He huffs, admitting his issue. She sighs, closing her book she looks over at him.

“Clint you can’t push the broken.” She shakes her head softly. “It doesn’t work that way and you know it.” She gives him a pointed look.

“She thinks sex is a commitment.” He mutters.

“It’s a step towards opening yourself, emotionally. That is commitment to girls like us.” She shrugs.

“Fuck.” He sighs, scrapping his hands down his face. He turns, dropping back, his head in Nat’s lap. She snorts, picking up a pillow she waits for him to lift his head, shoving it into place for him. She had a point, she was more like Nat than he really cared to look.

“You don’t push me to talk about my secrets.” She looks down at him. “Why are you so pushy with her?” She quirks a brow.

“Because what I feel for her is very different.” He sighs.

“You’re scared to lose her, again.” Nat sighs. “But you push her and you’re going to lose her anyways and you know that.” She taps her pointer finger into his forehead. He swats at her hand.

“Oh what do you know.” He huffs.

“Drama Queen.” She grins.

“Satan.” He rolls his eyes.

“Awe. Thank you.” Nat melts a little.

“You really are fucked up.” He snorts.

“Like your girlfriend.” She gives him a cocky smirk.

“I hate you.” He mutters.

“Could you be more possessive of a woman who literally gives the vibe, of kill you in your sleep?” Nat grins.

“It’s a nice thrill. Am I going to wake up today? Is she going to kill me? Or is she going to seduce me and rob me?” He shrugs.

“You’d still ask her to come back.” Nat laughs.

“I’m a little fucked up.” He grins at her.

“Preaching to the choir, Marc.” She shakes her head, picking up her book again.

“Um.” She squeaks softly, from the chair she was curled up in. He folds the paper in half, looking at her. Hair tied up on top of her head. She wore a faded T-shirt and a pair of comfy shorts.

“Babe?” He lifts a brow, wondering what she was up too.

“They’re debts paid.” She blurts out. “People I’ve killed for what they did to me.” She speaks to her hands, not looking up. The rest of them exchange a look, understanding where she was going with this.

“The tattoos?” Wanda wonders.

“Yeah.” She nods.

“Okay.” He nods, straightening his paper back out.

“That’s it?” She seemed almost surprised. “Okay?” He folds the paper down again, looking at her.

“You have tattoos. I have a small notebook of people for Karma.” He nods, her head tips.

“I have a ledger, with photos.” Nat nods.

“I have a database.” Tony grins. Clint snorts.

“Karma?” She looks over at him. “Really?”

“I read the obituaries and cross them out in my notebook.” He nods.

“What did the circus do to you?” Buck laughs.

“Nothing. Why?” Clint looks back at the paper in his hands.

“Who are the arrows for?” Peter asks softly.

“That’s a bigger story.” She swallows, chewing her bottom lip.

“My dad worked for Oscorp.” Peter nods. “The reason I survived the bite, was because he secretly stabilized the formula with his DNA. That’s why it kills everyone else.” Peter admits. Clint’s eyes cut to her once more.

“I had a sister, Maddie.” She looks down at her fingers twisted together.

“Had?” Sam eyes flick around.

“I was thirteen when I was patient zero.” She nods. “Maddie was six. They made her patient one. It killed her.” She whispers softly. It clicked into place for Clint.

“That’s why you are,” he nods “with Morgan.” Peter and Tony exchange a look.

“She reminds me of Maddie. Maddie was obsessed with Odin. Odin, he’s never grown attached to another child. Till now.” She shrugs.

“I’ll share her with you.” Peter grins.

“The arrows are for, the scientists, those who were there. Six of them.” She nods.

“You have seven.” Clint watches her.

“One for my father.” She stares back at him.

“How long have you been on your own?” Tony asks.

“Since I was fifteen.” She nods. “Never trusted anyone after that.” She sighs.

“Till now.” Buck smirks.

“I’ll find a way to kill you Frankenstein.” She points a finger at him.

“Don’t poke the cat, Buck.” Nat sighs, going back to her book. Buck and Sam laugh, dirty grins on their faces.

“I’ll kill you.” Clint sighs, setting the paper down.

“I need coffee.” Sam looks down at his cup, he’s out of his chair and leaving the room.

“I’m going to find Steve.” Buck nods, heading in the other direction.

“Possessive.” Nat coughs into her hand. Wanda cackles, Peter inhales his coffee.

“Satan, shut up.” Clint sighs.

“Who knew the devil was so hot. Is that how you get your hair so red?” Y/N grins, leaning forward.

“The blood of my enemies.” Nat winks at her.

“How do you get yours so white?” Wanda grins.

“All the souls I’ve sucked out.” She laughs, Tony coughs clapping a hand over his mouth. Peter dripples coffee down his shirt in shock.

“Really?” Clint sighs, looking over at her.

“What?” She bats wide, grey eyes at him. “Urban myth says Black Cat’s sucked the souls from people. It’s an old witches curse.” She shrugs, leaning back in her seat, picking up her phone.

“She’s so hot, it actually hurts.” Nat grins at him.

3x20 Reaction / Commentary

I wonder why, considering it wasn't hard at all. They barely had a plan and even had time to include some personal drama in their fight. Wtf. The only thing I can imagine why no one ever managed to kidnap her before is because no one wanted to have a hostage as irritating as the seelie queen.

I mean, compelling argument. And very fitting since we learned from that Lilith Debacle that the Shadowhunters' go to solution for everything and anything is torture. But what I find way more interesting is that we finally get a good look at the side of the seelie queen's crown.

There's so much to unpack in this scene. Which I'm gonna do, in excruciating detail. In a relationship analysis post thingy, not here, because time and space reasons. Just know that this scene is absolutely amazing, their facial expressions and gestures, and of course the pretzel. Dammit, so amazing. Can't wait to fawn over it all.

I'm with Meliorn on this one. Just because Lanaia committed a violation of the Accords (yes, on behalf of the seelie queen but the shadowhunters have no way of knowing that and I guess Meliorn wasn't stupid enough to tell them that) doesn't mean Clary can violate the Accords back and go unpunished. That's not how a legal system works. It's clear that with this whole operation the shadowhunters valued Clary's life over that of however may seelie guards' it would have taken to keep Jace's cover and get Clary back. I bet you Alec is aware of that and that's why he has that pinched look on his face the whole time. And while he argues pro shadowhunter side with that injection about Lanaia and he tries to placate Meliorn, he noticable doesn't try to justify Jace's actions at all, and whenever Jace does, Alec closes his eyes as if he's thinking “Dude don't you realize that's not an argument.”

And then he just wants to leave???? Hahaha creep

The way Alec immediately starts almost-crying when someone mentions Magnus pulls on my heartstrings. Fragile darling boy.

I mean, I'm pretty sure Alec carrying the ring around in his pocket was for meta reasons so he could give it to Maryse in their only scene together, but dammmnnn the in universe implications. Ouch.

Okay and now I'm back to rage because wtf!!!! So Magnus is aware that Lorenzo's jurisdiction is limited and tiny, why didn't he remember that literally anytime before this, for example in 3x10?? Just imagine it, if Magnus had done that fancy ritual thingy he wouldn't have even needed to trade his magic away. Oh right, problem identified. There wouldn't have been some Prime Drama if he'd behaved like a sensible person. Ugh.

The way Lorenzo's face falls upon hearing Asmodeus is priceless. But, uh, important question, how the hell does he know Asmodeus's face? Or does he identify him by his powers? Then again he failed identifying Asmodeus's power signature before already (3x02) so uuhhhh I need answers.

Magnus Bane, finally enjoying the Draco Malfoy Way Of Life. I mean, that's not really rebutting Lorenzo's claim. The opposite, in fact. Also wtf does Lorenzo have for nerves to say that to Asmodeus's face???

Also this means, the person Magnus trashes later in the loft with the whips, as seen in the promo, is Asmodeus?? Because he learns of his deal with Alec?? Or tbh, I've been entertaining the thought that it's Alec ahahaha

Also, Asmodues saying “When they hear about what?” has the same energy as Loki saying “I'm listening” in Avengers 1.

Yeah I still have questions about that. But sure, whatever. Then again, if Jordan is so long-fingered he could start a career as pickpocket. Sounds like a stable income job to me.

See, the problem here is that this isn't fixing any of Maia's problems. Apart from the fact that currently she has no problems to fix as far as I'm concerned (the dead pack won't be miraculously resurrected if she becomes human) her issues with her family aren't due to her being a werewolf. She's adjusted to her life as a werewolf and if you ask me, she's grown to love it and she doesn't want to go back. Hell, she wanted to become alpha. She's working on building her own pack now. Someone who hates being a werewolf wouldn't do that. Very obviously, his line of reasoning makes sense for Jordan because he can't forgive himself for turning and abandoning Maia, which he views as ruining her life. So by reversing it he could finally start to atone for what he did. Perfectly ic, but very frustrating because as I pointed out, this won't benefit Maia in any way, it'll just create drama between the two of them. (And frankly, while I moderately care about both of them, I'd rather have Malec on my screen. Sue me.)

Uh-huh, so some werewolf praetor spy with binoculars saw that Jordan stole the vial from the Institute but Izzy and Simon, who were literally in the same room didn't. No questions, your honor. Also ngl, since I knew this scene from the sneak peek already and couldn't care less about Luke's stupid Praetor plotline I skipped this scene XD #sorry not sorry

I know a lot of people were relieved Clary didn't make out with Jonathan and I'm honestly so surprised why people would assume in the first place there was any risk for that. Despite the Evil Rune taking hold she's still aware of her feelings, for example her love for Jace etc. So why would she suddenly be into incest?

Hehehehe the likelyhood of Asmodeus getting trashed in that loft is growing XD (Also please appreciate how I'm keeping my salt about Maryse's “I love you” under wraps, I'm amazed at my self restraint.)

I mean, I was really surprised by a character actually taking action, trying their hand at communication like this. I am impressed. The thing that I slightly dislike is that it's Maryse. She didn't have all the info about the deal Alec made with Asmodeus and a) Izzy had and I really, really expected her to do something about that instead of just letting Alec wreck his life and, to a good part, Magnus's as well, and b) if even Maryse, without even knowing for sure that Magnus's magic returned after Alec broke up with him, could put two and two together, why the hell didn't Magnus??

I can half buy that with his issues and insecurites striking harder than ever, amplyfied by the severe grief of his magic loss, he'd fall for Alec's lies because to him Alec loving him the way he did was too good to be true anyway, and their relationship wasn't long enough for Magnus to really get used to the idea that he gets to keep this. It's obvious in the way he always keeps his eyes closed after they kiss, this moment of disbelieve that this is actually real. So Alec breaking up with him wouldn't be an unreastic thing, it would be reality finally catching up with them, it'd be the universe rightening itself.

But, I only half buy it. Because even if Magnus had doubts about himself and his worth, how the hell could he revisit all those memories in 3x19 where Alec was dropping wedding vows left and right, and not realize that something about Alec was off there. Anyway, dwelling on this is pointless because what's done is done, but it's a very weak explanation and very convenient, story telling wise.

Listen, I like Jordan, but I can't even feel any sympathy in the face of all this stupidity. Just take the frakkin vial yourself, idiot. Humans don't die from silver poisoning. And it's clear that you're struggling with your werewolf-dom to hell and back. This would literally solve all of their problems wtf. But God forbid anyone ever act reasonable on this show. Goddammit.

Will it be restored when he's transformed back? Is that even possible or was that transformation irreversible? Will he remember his time as a lizard? Or is Lorenzo as we know and love to hate him gone forever? So many questions.

I find it amazing that Asmodues tries to argue with Magnus even though his evil plan was uncovered. He really doesn't get it, does he? That Magnus likes his life and doesn't want to be in Edom?

I am reeling. What a frikkin powermove, disposing of him like that, and with his own invention no less. Talk about a dead ass capable character who could trash everyone in his way. Honestly I'm still processing. This is so radical wtf. So I'm never gonna get another scene with Asmodeus?? Please I wanted more of them!! I am so helplessly in love with their dynamic. 5 bucks say he was supposed to come back in S4 I WAS SO DEPRIVED OH GOD!!!!!

Edit: Yeah, this was actually supposed to be a setup for a Dark!Magnus plotline, with Asmodeus playing a big role in S4. They changed that and cut this short, here's the article I got this from. We were so robbed. I can't.

Also that fighting is awesome and all (Alec as a tactical advantage, Jace “betraying” his position as a ploy, color me impressed) but doesn't Clary have to stab Jonathan for it to work?? Or is it enough if one of the bondmates is stabbed with the sword?? And since Fake Glorious is super instable etc. and will likely be destroyed in the process they shouldn't take any chances and make sure it really works the first time around.

I get that this is supposed to be dramatic but sorry, I don't buy for one second that 3 Months Shadowhunter Newby Clary manages to get one over Izzy who's been literally trained since birth (yeah that was a quote from Arthur because I'm total Merlin Trash) and she's their best fighter ever and could beat Jace and Alec at the same time with the flick of a wrist while blindfolded. Please. Oh my god. Maybe because she always fights with her whip she's not too used to a sword. Then again she also uses a staff and she still was trained since birth so no, I'm still not buying it.

For all intents and purposes, Jonathan should be dropping dead to the ground since he was using Clary's life force to be alive, remember, he was literally killed to death before. Only their bond was keeping him alive. This makes no sense whatsoever. But anyway, that was a pretty impressive departure.

And I guess Alec's just chilling over there on the forrest ground. He deserves that break, man.

Just force it down Jordan's throat omg. If he still dies, whatever, good for him, he got what he wanted. If not then he can maybe start facing his Maia-shaped issues in a constructive way.

Maia giving it to Luke makes no sense. How the f does he want to “get rid of it” wtf. If I were Maia I'd just pour it in the river or idk, burry it somewhere. Lock it in a safe, throw away the key. Or better yet, keep an eye on it. But sure, Luke who just learned the Praetor are full of shit is gonna give it to them?? I mean, the thought must have crossed his mind that maybe they didn't heal Jordan as a punishment for failing that Heidi mission? Since apparently it's common werewolf knowledge that the Praetor is able to cure a silver poisoning? Jordan wouldn't have said that if they didn't have a cure for it, right? If Luke honestly gives them that vial, he'll be dead to me. I fully expect him to try and blackmail the Praetor with it or something, but if he doesn't istg.

I love everything about this, okay. I love how Alec just gives in because he couldn't stand to be apart from Magnus for one more second. I love how this is reminiscent of their first kiss at Alec's fail wedding. (Btw can you believe we're gonna start and end Malec with a kiss at a wedding and a wedding kiss? The poetry.) I love the backdrop, the absolute destruction. Love Izzy in her rightful place in the first row since she's the Captain of the MS Malec.

I really appreciate that they bothered with an explanation why Magnus needs to go to Edom at all, but, uh, if memory serves right he closed a rift to Edom in 2x19 and it was no big deal. I'd buy that this rift is larger or more powerful because it was created by the Morgenstern Sword but just because I can find an explanation that this task is harder than one Magnus already accomplished onscreen with relative ease doesn't mean it's not the Show’s duty to deliver an explanation of its own accord instead of letting fans pick through their worldbuilding and figuring out something that makes sense. A simple “You closed rifts before, from Earth.” - “This rift is too large” would have been enough. Is that too much to ask.

I find myself genuinely confused by this. Why does Alec even entertain the thought of not going with Magnus? It seems so illogical that they'd seperate now. Later reason kicked in, and yeah, Edom probably isn't the best place for a shadowhunter but this is exactly it: Alec's instinct should have been to go with Magnus and I wish they'd taken the time to address this in any way, to give Alec the chance to express his wish to go with Magnus.

But then he jokes about runaway grooms anyway because he thinks he’ll never see Alec again and he wants Alec to remember him joking & smiling & happy *cries* I’M SAD. why did I bring that up.

OH MY GOD I CAN'T I'M LAUGHING SO HARD THIS IS SO RIDICULOUS HAHAHAHA Magnus REALLY should have pulled the portal down on himself and not flown into it like a flying fish jumping out of the water wtf hahaha. Then again this is proof he can totally do the superman flight and it is CANON that he did that at some point. He had a whole annoying phase where he'd just fly around like a super hero. Cat was so done with it. Ragnor refused to be around him at all. Good times.

Anyway, another thing I need an explanation for is why it'll be so hard for Magnus to return to Earth. In 3x10 that posed No Problem, meaning one of two things. Either a) Asmodeus sent him back or b) he could easily travel back because he used that pentagram thingy. Honestly, the fact that Jonathan just as easily returns to Earth after his failed attempt on Lilith's life lets me favor b), which begs the question why Magnus used a regular portal instead of the pentagram thingy now. But even if a) is the case then that means Greater Demons apparently have no problem removing people from Edom and then I wonder if Magnus will have to beg Azazel or something to return him home lol, like a little kiddie asking for a lift. Or maybe, since he channelled his epic Edom!Power, maybe he can send himself back?? In any case I want some solid explanation on that.

Alec just collapsing made so much sense okay. I could feel the emptiness in my own chest, having gained and lost everything in a few short minutes, I can't even imagine how crushed Alec must be feeling.

Magnus's magic closing the rift is so epic in an incredibly emotional and intimate sense. Seeing his magic, part of him, when he's so far beyond all of their reach. It's incredible, it's touching and powerful and so so fragile. I'm amazed.

I can't believe they did this. I can't believe they put the literally last shot of this in the 3B Trailer. The audacity.

Okay but really important question, who's gonna feed Lorenzo now??? (God only one week left I am dead.)

Alec walked into the loft brain not registering the change of decor,tugging his jacket off quickly seeing Magnus walk up to him. “I got off early tonight,though if you’re busy can make myself scarce.” Hardly needed to hear the answer because got an eye roll since they both knew that wasn’t going to happen. Instead ringed hands curled around his waist and he completely forgot about his holster or boots.

Noting what was gold underneath his boyfriend’s eyes,had to wonder just how many colors of eyeliner there was. It reflected light into those brown eyes he found his own getting lost in.”All done for the day,so Alexander how was your day?” He tried thinking of some way to put ‘the same as usual’ without sounding utterly bored of his own words.

“It was alright,much running the Institute can be though did get kidnapped for a hour or two so Izzy could browse the Halloween decor.” Shadowhunter’s really didn’t celebrate it,he had mixed feelings for the mundane holiday it was a busy night with lots of looking after the crowds and demon activity spiking. But also meant horror movies,and stocking up on candy not counting both Izzy along with Max at least once were fascinated with the mundane aspects. “Anything out of the ordinary with your day?”

Magnus seemed to think a moment possibly weighing if he could tell any tales about his clients. But instead gave a shrug which honestly was both surprising and oddly all the more attractive. “Just the usual,though Chairman got out the building earlier so got to keep an eye out for the runaway.” Didn’t seem anything but amused by it,which Alec wouldn’t know because hardly aware of Magnus’ cats behaviors all that much.

Leaning his head towards his boyfriend’s only for Magnus to wind up being the one to kiss him. Hands resting on his chest eyes shutting shifting his head some because his nose hurt just a slight bit. Could taste whatever cocktail he’d been drinking all day,mixed with warm breath wondering for a moment what his breath was like,just a silly little panic faded just as fast.

Especially as lips parted his eyes opened swallowing or else his voice would’ve been more than raspy. “Uh so what’s the plan for tonight,go somewhere or just hang around here?” Knew which answer he leaned towards the non portal,no crowds,the not being unglamoured around mundanes answer where it was just them but an adventure wouldn’t be the worst.

“Could do something like both dinner here,downtime somewhere else maybe a penthouse in Vegas?” Alec must have gave an amused expression at the Vegas part because Magnus spoke up again before he could answer. “What there’s good sights there and it’s not skipping the country so you’re able to be here in time tomorrow morning that is if you don’t cling to me keeping us in bed.”

That made Alec smile,it happened besides who could blame him had issues getting out of bed before that bed included an amazing boyfriend. “It’s a date then,and hey I only do that like 5 days a week.” It couldn’t be that accurate either way it caused Magnus to shake his head before kissing Alec’s forehead with an affectionate peck.

“Well Alexander then there’s our night,oh and let Chairman in whenever he gets back unless he does it himself.” That made Alec raise a brow but Magnus already was walking away into the kitchen. Shaking his head he dumped his holster and boots near his jacket before walking after him. Fairly certain he wasn’t going to be able help that much ever since Magnus heard about Izzy’s inability to cook he was wary of Alec offering.

In the sake of quick,fast and easy they made pasta well more like Magnus did and Alec wound up sliding up behind him watching. Took much longer because Alec kept distracting his boyfriend namely that patch of time he kissed the back of his boyfriend’s neck and nearly made the pot of boiling water spill everywhere.

Eventually though they were just eating in the kitchen nothing special but sat on the counter drinking some wine that didn’t make Alec scrunch up his nose wondering why people chose to drink such things willingly. Eating their bowls just chatting lightly about this or that. Of course when finished Alec went to steal some from his boyfriend only for his fork to be pushed away playfully however Alec had snagged some then proceeded to eat it regardless.

In return Magnus stole his wine keeping it out of his reach till he’d finished his food. Then two empty glasses,forks,and bowls cleaned later he was leaning in the bedroom door watching his boyfriend changing clothes. Which was fairly amusing as they were just heading to a penthouse hotel room. To watch movies,and maybe use the pool or play pool depending. Eventually they’d wind up tangled up in the sheets to some capacity be it after having sex or just to get some sleep.

“Oh come on what’s with the wardrobe change,only person who is going to see you’s literally right here.” That being said didn’t entirely watching as he stripped out of yet another outfit before vanishing into where he kept some of his clothes. Not counting the makeup change still unseen however when Magnus stepped out Alec couldn’t find any words.

Even as his boyfriend walked up to him adjusting the jacket he was wearing,”So as you were saying?” Alec swallowed getting a laugh out of Magnus who immediately pulled him close kissing him his eyes lidded halfway kissing back even sighing a bit when Magnus’ lips let go of his.

“You know what Magnus kind of forgot,so telling me what place we’re going now or is that not going to be the case?” Could already tell it was the latter which was fine with Alec bit in the middle of rebooting seeing Magnus in black with what seemed accents of orange and gold. Then just some simple black eyeliner in amusing what he knew was a cat eye.

Feeling a ringed hand slid so fittingly into his own locking their fingers together,”Don’t think the name would mean anything to you,so you’ll have to hear once we get there.”

And yeah they spent most the night watching movies on a massive flat screen,drinking the occasional glass of whatever Magnus would conjure up eating some popcorn and snuggled up even though the couch was massive. One of many the place was like an apartment on drugs,with a view and it’s own pool. No way to enjoy it all in one night,nor did they really feel the urge to.

Eventually winding up in bed both trying to stop laughing but then they’d look at each setting one another off yet again. Had decided to hang around outside up till Alec got cold which had then resulted in him putting his cold hands accidentally on his boyfriend’s neck when they kissed which freaked Magnus out leading with Alec winding up in the pool pulling Magnus in with him.

Still one hour later after a warm shower,being intimate,and the fact Magnus was laying on top of him couldn’t shake how ridiculous it had been. Didn’t help that brought up a slight ‘well I’m not the one who made us fall in the pool’ ‘yeah but you put your freezing cold hands on my neck’. Then when they caught their breath a very tired Alec drifting off curled up as close he could be.

It was still dark out when Magnus gently shook Alec,who really didn’t want to get up yet still half asleep but aware would have to go back to New York no more lounging around with his boyfriend if got up. Eyes opening halfway to look at the figure wide awake over him briefly wondering if he’d been sleeping alright,if either of them had any issue but didn’t seem like it.

“Magnus-no I don’t wanna get up.” Voice raspy with sleep before burying his face into the middle of the bed. Not wanting to know what time it was but felt too early for even early,then again Alec was the up all night sleep all morning type of person usually unless work stated otherwise. Which it usually tended to.

“I know,you can get some more sleep after I show you something.” Rolling over he opened his eyes looking at Magnus who hadn’t put on anything more than pants when really the morning was fairly cold. Slowly propping himself up before rubbing his eyes unsure what those words even could mean.

But once out of bed tugged on his shirt letting Magnus proceed to take him outside where it was all that much colder. The two wound up curled up on some couch together with a blanket Magnus summoned wrapped around them. Meanwhile Alec’s knees were tucked up to his chest underneath Magnus’ right arm in his side kind of in a half awake state. “So why are we out here?”

“The view,just watch.” The sky got a bit brighter and that’s when he realized what the point was,only point of it being the sunrise. However as it happened had woken up more never really paying attention to them much like this before. Magnus looking at him causing him to look back with a smile.

“Nah you’re still the most amazing sight ever.” An eyeroll followed by them kissing probably one of the most perfect ways to start yet another day,except this one maybe couldn’t wait already to get back home instead of a hotel or the Institute.

“Well Alexander think that’s a given,besides if you weren’t so hung up on me might have noticed our loft’s been changed up when we were there last night.” His face turned to surprise but then the details he’d subconsciously noticed came to mind however too busy curling up to Magnus for some reply of any sorts.
