I was inspired by how Cliff’s rocket pack in the film not only had an indeterminate fuel supply, making it constantly dangerous to fly, but was literally patched together with chewing gum. It was Beeman’s, the lucky gym of fliers, but still, that’s a hell of a thing to trust your life to!
