My heart sings when food is created, shared & appreciated in the company of others.  And it damn near burst out into the Sister Act 2 finale song when I stumbled upon the work of Be Enriched & their Community Canteens (only amplified by my subsequent experience volunteering at their Battersea location above).  Championing the fight against food waste and looking out for our community, the Canteens organise meals created by volunteers using surplus foods donated by local businesses for those in need.  Please consider donating to this worthwhile cause who’d greatly appreciate your help in securing a permanent space, so they can offer daily advice and support to those experiencing food poverty, social isolation, loneliness.  A little goes a long way; thank you in advance for donating what you can!

Pausing To Share During these trying times it is good to have someone to talk to. Jesus Christ is a WONDERFUL COUNSELOR! He is a listener, a Truth-teller, and a heart-healer. The wisdom Jesus gives WHEN WE GO TO HIM, when we come for His counsel is “first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere” (James 3:17). Christ’s wisdom is not marred by human logic or reason- ing; He does not see things from faulty perspectives. He is Truth. His counsel is not stained with a desire to manipulate— it is pure. Might we encourage one another that before we talk to anyone else about what is going on in our life, seek the Wonderful Counselor. Let His wisdom pour peace into our troubled heart. Let His wisdom overcome the disturbance(s) in our life. Let His wisdom elevate us above the of doubt, fear or uncertainty.
