Berry in the Big City Season 1 is getting a DVD release

Season 1 of Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City will be released on DVD on February 13th, 2024, and preorder is available now. Distribution is handled by NCircle Entertainment.

The DVD appears to follow the Netflix episode order, meaning Spring Cleaning still follows Everyberry Needs Someberry Sometimes, despite the continuity flub regarding the Clubhouse.

Notably, the Berry in the Big City Amazon listings, both for DVD and Prime Video, mention ”The Berrylands” as where the series takes place in, which might be the first time it’s been established what the country where Big Apple City is located is actually called in BitBC.

When the DLC available at the time(Berryland & the music place from what I know) first came out I wanted to get this tama. She's now one of the last characters I'll be going for since characters I like I'm going for later on.

I had a pic of them standing but it was blurry. I think BigSmile had another line but I think I missed it some how.(Might be off) Either way while I don't like Big Smile I have to admit I like his personality. He once said something like "Hey Miles look at me. Let's smile." or something like that & here he says he wants to laugh with his future wife. He's just a happy guy that wants to enjoy being happy with people around him.

It was kind of fitting that the image of them driving off involves the donut

New and Upcoming Strawberry Shortcake releases

I encourage reading the article beforehand, as this will just be a very brief recap.

In this recent(ish) article found by @EstuaryEstii on Twitter, it had this to say regarding new releases for Strawberry Shortcake content:

“Additionally, to extend the fun into the new year, brand-new Strawberry Shortcake original micro-form content (60 x 15s) is set to premiere on the official Strawberry Shortcake YouTube channel from January 15, giving playful glimpses into the small and sweet moments between Strawberry’s big adventures.”

Presumably, this will mean a release of sixty 15-second YouTube Shorts featuring new animation, rather than just uploading pre-existing clips from Berry in the Big City.

There was also a new “crossover” episode of “Girl’s Tales”, a story-based podcast by Rebecca Cunningham, with Strawberry Shortcake in center stage titled “Strawberry Shortcake and the Winterswirl Storm” that released a week ago.

Apparently this was the second podcast episode featuring Strawberry Shortcake, the first one was “Strawberry Shortcake and the Ding Dong Ditcher” on October 30th.

The article doesn’t mention it, but the new Berry in the Big City mobile game is available to play right now. For some reason the article highlighted Bake Shop, which is a Berry Bitty Adventures game as far as I can tell?

Starting up Tamagotchi Uni again(And ranting about Mimmy being underrated)

I took way too long to post this

So like I mentioned in my last post I was waiting to turn my Uni on until the case & screen protector I ordered came in the mail & were setup. I turned my Uni on last Thursday because the screen protector finally showed up & I had everything setup.

Here's a picture of the egg, I kind of wish there were more backgrounds that allowed you to see the sky like the default one. It's kinda cool that you can see the weather & time of day change like this but this is the only one that does this.

DLC

Since I bought the Sanrio version of the Uni it came with a physical ticket(code on the back) for the Sanrio DLC. I used the first code & then allowed people to use the last two uses(you can use the code on up to 3 Tamagotchi with resets counting as new ones) on the MixingMeets discord server. I only want one Uni so it'd be going to waste if I didn't use the last two uses.

I also made an account on the ticket site so I could get the free Berryland ticket & someone showed the code to their Monster Carnival ticket after using the first use so I now have 3 DLC areas I can explore.

I think they're all nice but I hate Monster Carnival's game because I don't like slide puzzles & the timer doesn't help either.

The DLC has really helped because exploring them adds that feeling I missed from the Meets/On which is exploring places you unlock, playing a game available to only that location & buying stuff only available to that location. Waiting for different DLC to load can be annoying but I'm glad DLC was added.

Here's travel to Puroland/Sanrio DLC & spoilers for how Gen1 is doing. Fun fact the first two pics are retakes from when she was an adult while the rest is from when she was in the child stage.

I really enjoy seeing everything & it's kind of cute cause my tama gets to go to the Sanrio version of Disneyland or something My only complaint is that I feel like Mimmy(Just learned today her name is spelled like that) should get to be on the float with Kitty. For context Kitty has a twin sister who wears a yellow bow(when it's not taking up the whole head it's on the opposite side of Kitty's bow) & on the Uni she has a heart on her head on the opposite side Kitty's is on.

I think it'd be cute if she got some attention cause she barely gets any.(Occasionally she shows up in a game or in like one old cartoon I use to watch on DVD) Probably doesn't help that Kitty has so many designs with different bows that you'd never be able to tell if it's Mimmy unless a label was added. I'm mostly complaining because they added Mimmy to the DLC as a cameo for game that's part of the DLC.(She only shows up when you successfully do the double arrow actions)

What's worse is that she's featured in images showing off what's available in the Sanrio DLC when all she is on the Uni is a cameo while other characters get more attention.(Until I played with the DLC I had no idea what she'd be doing in the DLC) I know it's stupid but the least they could do is put her in one more thing like the scene of Kitty on a parade float dancing around with the shirotama wearing Hello Kitty bows.

Sorry I just oddly feel bad because Mimmy cause she gets no attention besides this game. She shows up nowhere else not even a yellow bow for items while Kitty gets red related bows & merch in the items cause she's the star. I like Hello Kitty but Mimmy should get some attention too.

Sorry for the rambling, besides my rambling like I said I enjoy the DLC & it's nice to mess around with the Uni again now that I'm ready to play again.

More posts to come, with luck I get back into the swing of things. Probably not tomorrow though, I have important stuff to deal with tomorrow.
