i have some thoughts about medical student!gene and paramedic!babe and they're gonna make my brain explode if i don't share them

bill and babe taking shifts together. bill makes babe drive cause he's "older" (their birthdays are two weeks apart but babe likes to indulge him).

babe has the biggest crush on gene. babe also has a very specific way of flirting which sometimes ends with him stumbling over his own words. bill still cheers him on ithis includes some horribly obvious thumbs up.

gene just quit smoking. that's why babe frantically stubs out his cigarettes whenever he spots gene on his break.

lip as the charge nurse google said it's the correct term. no one dares to f*ck with him. that man is running a tight ship and he will hold you accountable for f*cking up. he's also immensely likable, so no one dares to upset him. plus. he's dating the scary neurosurgeon who is going to yell at you for making lip upset.

gene accidentally injuring babe (like he did in bastogne) and then patching up his hand. meanwhile babe's praying that gene doesn't catch on to how fast his heart is beating.

gene offering babe chocolate after a rough day. babe draping a blanket over gene when he catches him sleeping in the staff room.

babe inviting gene to a party. them having a quiet moment alone on the balcony. gene's drenched in the soft yellow lights of the fairy lights above them and babe wonders how anyone could not be in love with this beautiful, beautiful man in front of him (inspired by this song).

gene's car breaking down one day. babe offering to drive him home cause "he kinda drives people around for a living anyway." it becomes a regular thing.

gene and his grandma. gene telling babe about the times he's spent with her. gene telling babe about the guilt he feels because he couldn't save her.

gene playing a part in saving a patient with the same medical condition as his grandma's. babe being there to support him cause he's well aware of the impact this whole situation has on gene.

all the elderly patients loving gene. also, all the elderly patients knowing that gene is crushing on babe as well and trying to give him pointers. if it worked well in their day, it should still work well, right?

gene and renée and spina living together and being besties. idk i just love whenever that happens in a fic.

babe being very interested in the french language after hearing gene speak in french.

bonus because it fits into the universe: fire captain!dick and bartender!nix. nix's attempts at cooking lead to them seeing each other at least once a week. dick wonders why nix isn't just asking him out like a normal person.

You coming home after a long day of pro hero work to find the smell of grilling outside. Lo and behold. Its fucking Katsuki. In an apron and casual clothes just flipping burgers.

Like this man just humming away to whatever playlist the two of you guys made and acting like its a normal day, and he doesnt kick villains asses every chance he can.

Outside with a mf black “kiss the cook” apron (we all know he would) making the burgers exactly how you like them, even if they arent traditional Japanese cuisine. Hes content playing grill husband for a bit till his lil wifey comes back.

And ofc when you do, you immediately go out to give him a kiss on the cheek, his stubble noticeably scratching your cheek. He just casually slips an arm around you, never taking his eyes off the food, with a little, “hey baby”.

im drawing 7 hb/hh chars this week, about halfway through now? so yeah some of that might end up here..but anyway the best part is this piece i made with a friend, in which they did fizz and i did ozzie (they helped with shading in some parts though)

I'd like to make an announcement, Murder Mark is the Drowned Man and I HAVE PROOF DAMMIT.

You see this little man? Huh? You see that pin on his jacket?

Huh, that's weird, it looks like those chemical symbol things, right? Those funky structural formulas? It looks awfully similar to the only diagrams I could find for the structural formula of water!! And what is the Drowned Man known for?

That's right, water.

NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT before the USA site was taken down (around the time ISWM Part 2 was released), one of the directories lead to the Drowned Man!

Additionally, their clothing styles are very similar! It's practically the same turtleneck sweater and suit jacket, just with MM's addition of the pin and the necklace! Plus, they both have dark sunglasses! (And have the same hairstyle, just mirrored, shhh)

There is no doubt in my mind that they're the same person. The Drowned Man is just a funny little water demon who curses people's houses with flooding and does murder on the side as a treat.

feeling somewhat normal for the first time in days. spent the entire day yesterday at the hospital's emergency unit thinking i was gonna have a heart attack or find some bad heart problem because i had been feeling really weird symptoms since the weekend but after a bunch of exams that came out okay turns out it was most likely just really bad anxiety. got more exams to do and advised to seek mental health support. but more importantly, it took me being drugged multiple times to sleep properly ahwjwhs i completely crashed yesterday and now i'm up too early but my heart doesn't feel as bad so far.

people talk about fall out boy like joe and andy's parents sold them to patrick and pete and now they keep the two of them shackled in a basement and only release them when its time for their yearly scheduled Creative Suppression Time and not a band of four grown adults who want to remain friends and so had to learn to communicate and doing so marked one of the biggest shifts in their career

that is to say name a more iconic duo than fall out boy fans and doomposting <3

(allow me to briefly break character to assure everyone's fears for a second, because i don't want to shade people who get panicky over stuff like this. after the hiatus pretty much everyone will interpret anything as a "sign" that the band is breaking up or going on another break. and while the time between mania and now has been longer than the hiatus, the energy is nothing like the hiatus in the slightest, because the band is still writing music and performing in festivals. they're just not touring/promoting an album right now. they're grown adults with kids and that's going to slow things down compared to the relentless touring pre-hiatus, which nearly fucking broke the band and gave us the hiatus in the first place. also, i want to stress how many times joe said, repeatedly, that these people are his friends and as long as they still enjoy each other's company they're going to keep doing this thing. they're all still writing music and have constantly, it's just not being directed toward anything atm.)
