no but genuinely it's actually wild how little sense totk story makes. it's beyond small continuity errors or character arcs being beyond botched: their own self-contained proposal for a world is actively nonsensical, there's layers upon layers of stuff that doesn't even try to strive for an internal logic, and it gets worse and worse the longer you consider everything

#thoughts #totk #totk critical #I know no zelda story is airtight logic and it's fine!!!#it's actually fine and good!#but here it has so little to say?#beyond having the grueling task of coming after BotW #which is one of the most grounded and “realistic” entries in the IP narratively speaking #so the fact they didn't really maintain that tone and that choice of trying to portray a tangible and believable world hurt the game so muc #again if they wanted a reboot tone-wise they should have made a different hyrule #and it would have been much more forgiveable imo
