i wanna write an essay about squidward and him being gay and accidentally made him also autistic in the musical and i wanna post about it but all the words i come up with is screaming....
#i get so happy thinking abt sbtm squidward bc like#i KNOW gavin lee was trying to act flamboyant. squidward IS coded gay (even had a scene where he overtly flirted w background dancer boy)#but his flamboyant hand movements and gay wrist kinda comes off as like. overtly autistic#the constant stimming when stressed (balls his hands up and relaxes them. shuffling his hands 2gether. rubbing at his chest)#the stimming whrn hes happy! (he literally happy hand flaps. also jumps up and down. shoulders upward -rigid- then slack)#the lack of eye contact and sometimes overly expressive tone of voice (the latter is rlly typical for autistics)#hyper emotional altho that could be ptsd which they also canonically gave him from childhood bullying :(#super touch averse. often being touched results in the Bad Stimming u cn see in some bootlegs.#sorry but the facial expressions??? i cant explain it but autistics have strange facial expressions when we make them.#they arent calculated but theres just smthn abt them!!!#he has specific moments (during no control. the going gets tough. AND im not a loser) where like#IDK facial expressions that r v similar 2 autistics i kno WHATEVER....#like m sorry i watch sbtm and i see squidward n im like ya that bich collects little ceramic figurines#and labels n catalogues them#that bich will talk for hours abt Different Kinds Of Communism if someone listens#u KNOW he knows a strange amount of facts abt pleated suits from the 1930s - 50s#bich is AUTISTIC and GAY#and ya hes a commie i kno sbtm squidward and cartoon squ8dward are different#but i like to think tina landau also wrote sbtm squidward as a commie like the vibes ok#sbtm
