Emma has learned to eat raw! And she’s learned to ask for her supper! 😹Listen to her little meows! 🥰 She was not fed the best food at the place we got her from. We strongly believe that a raw diet is best for our pets. It is unprocessed, real whole food, but she couldn’t figure it out at first. Luckily we had some pure salmon from @bigcountryraw, and she was intrigued by the smell, and that got her going on the real food. Now she’s not interested in the salmon, and just wants the meat! She’s currently eating the Turkey, Salmon, Lamb blend, and she loves it! We keep offering her more until she tells us she is done. We had the pleasure of visiting @bigcountryraw’s new facility this past weekend, and I have to say WOW! We are happy to feed this quality raw food to our pets, and also to represent BCR and recommend their products. We were given a tour of their operation and we were so impressed with all of the production efficiencies in place for food safety. Everything is so well organized to keep food cold/frozen during all stages of operation. The facility was so clean and well organized. It’s amazing that this company was originally launched out of a kitchen! We just love this company; they are always adding new nutritional products to their lineup, to improve the diet of our pets. We also think it’s so cool that they use geothermal technology to capture energy during flash freezing of their products, which they then use to heat their cement flooring. Isn’t that neat? So energy efficient! ~ We didn’t bring Oliver with us because of the weather (and also because we were taking him on an overnight trip the next day), but lots of other Brand Reps brought their dogs. Oliver says: Please, can I eat my @bigcountryraw food now? (See why he has to wait below). ~ All of our pets are fed a raw food (aka REAL food) diet from @bigcountryraw. Why do we feed raw? Just like for humans, a healthy (real food) diet will benefit your pets in many ways. Cats are “obligate carnivores”. Obligate means “by necessity”. Cats MUST eat meat. Dogs, meanwhile, do have an omnivorous ability, but they also demonstrate similar and noticeable carnivorous traits. They also MUST eat (mostly) meat. In fact, Oliver eats an all meat diet, just like the cats (he does also get the odd bit of veggies from us; eg. the ends of cucumbers, a bit of tomato, etc.). ~ There is a lot of research out there and available for you to learn about different food options for your pets. We like to give our pets what we feel is the best nutrition (most nutrient-dense food), to keep them healthy and disease free. Feeding a real food diet, that has minimal processing, is an excellent way to improve your pets’ health. And best of all, it’s actually quite comparable in cost to traditional/commercial pet foods.
