"I was thinking that we could maybe add a higher pitched note there" Billie suggested to Finneas.

You were sitting next to her, biting your nails and the skin around it. It was like a coping mechanism for you and most of the time you don't even realize it.

You winced in pain when you accidentally bit too much skin. The tip of your finger already bleeding.

"You okay?" Billie asked as she turned her head to look at you. "What happened to your finger?" Finneas asked when he saw the blood on your finger.

"Oh, it's nothing. I just bit it too hard" you said with shrug. "You bite your nails?" Billie asked you with furrowed brows

"Yeah, but I don't realize it half the time" you said. "Well stop it. You're hurting yourself when you do that" Billie said and took your hand in hers.

"I can't help it" you said. "Well then I'm going to help you. Play with my rings or fingers or whatever but don't bite your nails okay baby" Billie said and put her hands on your lap.

While Finneas and her were recording, you were playing with her rings. You realized that it actually helped.

And you started doing it everywhere. Now you play with her rings without even noticing it.
