No worries, Anon, this makes sense! I would look into the term altersex, which is not inherently a plural term as far as I recall but should be just as helpful. If anyone has a more specific term, let me know!

I'll be honest. Despite having symptoms and switching and everything I still have a lot of self doubt about if I'm a system or not and it's a really weird dissonance I don't know how to resolve. If anyone more experienced has advice I'd really appreciate it

idk this might sound ?? but can there be like a headmate thats a dissociation holder ? me n the collective didnt start off disordered but bc of an abusive relationship we now have osdd n so could there be a headmate that formed thats the dissociation holder ? weve been working on stuff in therapy n its a triggering time of yr n the dissociation weve been having feels diff like it’s a presence but theres no solid identity attached to it if that makes sense n thats why i think its someone whos a holder or embodiment of our trauma induced dissociation ?
