Hey! It's not blatantly obvious if you don't know the red flags, but the post by cowardly-bisexual is attacking pan people. They're a well-known panphobe, and are implying pan people are making up a fake sexuality.

Thank you for telling me, I’m often very oblivious to things like this, especially online due to being unable to see the tone?

Just to confirm, the way I read it was that people were taking on a label because they wanted to seem like good people when in reality they were transphobic or homophobic or racist or misogynist or etc. I was specifically thinking of people taking on the label of “ally” to cover up those negative traits, or those occasions when a gay man claims to be a good person only because he’s gay but is still terribly misogynistic? That’s mainly why I reblogged it.

Of course, I clearly didn’t see the underlying implication of panphobia, because I myself am pan!

Being pansexual and/or panromantic is definitely valid. Being bisexual and/or biromantic is definitely valid.

If you identify as bi and you like more than one gender, be it two genders or three or all of them, YOU’RE VALID. The main reason I personally identify as pan is because I want to make it clear that I like all genders! Also I like the flag colours~ (Which is also totally valid.)

Heckin’ fake sexuality? Are you serious? They’re words mate. Every word is made up. Are you a woman? Are you a man? Are you a non-binary person? Are you something else? GOOD FOR YOU. Who the heck cares if that word was invented thousands of years ago or decades ago? THEY’RE ALL MADE UP ANYWAYS. ENJOY YOURSELF AND ENJOY YOUR SEXUALITY AND YOUR LABELS. They’re MADE to make you feel better! To give you an identifier so you can more easily find people you’re interested in or people that are interested in you, or people you relate to, or a thousand other reasons!

And if you’re unsure or you’re using an umbrella term, go for it! That’s awesome!

(Of course, there are some heckin’ terrible labels out there. Do you have a sexual interest in children? That’s not valid and very harmful. You should seek help for that, mate.)

I really wish I could talk to my old friends again...

Ah well, can't help it that people just get tired of me I guess...just kinda miss 'em sometimes...

But then I remember that they're all probably better off without me and don't even remember me anymore. Everyone kinda forgets me after a while, it's a given. And I'm used to it, I really am. If they hate me and don't want to remember me anymore I'm completely okay with that, I've moved on. I no longer blame myself and no longer put myself down.

I'm thankful for them giving me a helpful push out of who I used to be. I really wish I wasn't afraid to tell them that though...
