Ok, so free-to-play pay-to-win games are fucking rubbish right? Everyone knows that they're disgusting and predatory. I recently got one whilst I was home over Christmas so I had something to do, it was Bloons TD2.

Now, because it's free, there's payed aspects here and there and that doesn't really bother me too much until there's a massive advantage to be had by those who pay or parts of the game are missing in some way. There's a paid-monthly VIP pass so it's pretty bad, they get loads more shit than us. One thing is they have more inventory space than the rest of us for these little boxes you can get, earn too many and you can discard only the most recent one. I got a rare one and I'm earning points to unlock it rn, further down the line whilst I'm still getting those point I get a rarer one and I don't have the space so I either needed to buy the points or discard it (I'm gonna buy the points and you'll see why). So I went to the store because I was curious about prices n shit, wanted a look. It looked like this:

Now, get a good look at those prices and the amount of points earned per payment. See the "best value" one? Yeah that's a lie, that's the worst value one there.

See, 300 pennies for 260 tokens is worse prive than 100 tokens for 100 pennies, in case you're not good at maths. So they're lying to their users. Worse, the main audience for this game ranges from about 7 years old, based on my experience with old bloons games, to about 20-ish which means that they're scamming literal fucking children, not just with predatory shit but by outright lying to them.

Then I noticed something else, it says dollars and not pounds for the prices. So I decided to do a little investigating. Turns out that is also a lie. It's 99p, which is about $1.34...

So yeah, basically fuck pay-to-win games, they're made to prey on people and make the game feel like shit when you don't pay for it so that you pay for "the full game"
