You know what would be funny? If demon blood junkie Sam could start to see parts of Cas’s true form. And can clearly see, first of all that this is some eldritch horror monster, and second of all it’s obsessed with dean. Always having a wing over or around Dean, touching Dean’s shoulder, always looking at him, surrounding him, touching him. And Sam is naturally panicking bc not only are angels not what he thought they were but this dangerous eldritch monster has completely latched onto his brother to the point of obsession and dean cannot fucking see it. I think it would’ve been so funny if they did this bc Sam would think Cas is creepy and dangerous and wouldn’t want him near his brother. But at the same time is too dense to see the heart eyes Dean has for this creature of unknown power, because Cas is just Dean’s little guy in a trench coat!
