@spkyscry (for dbd!heather)
she hated how much she was getting used to this already.
the count of trials she’s been thrust into and either fleed from or died in has been lost in her head, not like she ever started counting them in the first place mind you, but... as she ran towards that burning flame in the distance, away from the exit gates and the gaze of a disgruntled zombie mutant, thing, she tries to ignore the implications of that thought process.
susie’s eyes open, and she finds herself in the clearing again. the campfire, that boring ass campfire, lies ahead in the same spot it’s always been in. and yet, it’s surprisingly empty.
“guess everyone else’s already plucked away.”
her first immediate thought comes out as a mumble as she approaches, then notices that she was, in fact, not alone. and a survivor she hadn’t seen yet, at that. was she new? or did she just have the misfortune of not being here while she was out of a trial. regardless, the dragon approaches, and sits down on the opposite end of the log from her.
“...’sup.”
great conversation starter there, susie.

Fearne and Orym both died in the last episode (33), and Laudna had 2 failed death saves by the end of it. At the top of the most recent episode (34) Laudna rolled a natural one on her last death save and died too.
FCG revived Fearne (because she had another revivify). After a bit of debate they flipped a coin and Fearne revived Orym. Everyone was out of spells/components so way to get Laudna back this session, so Marisha got up and left the table.
They’re taking Laudna’s body with them and (now that they’ve rested) have cast gentle repose on it, so it buys them some time. Everyone seems pretty insistent that they’re going to fix it and get her back somehow. But for now she is dead
oh no :( so they're gonna need to find someone with raise dead since the time for revivify has passed. i'm glad they're determined to bring her back tho i do love her and imogen's relationship

@kostenkoe ( random starter! )
shoes crunch the snow beneath her as she sprints, sweat flying in the cold wind as she turns her head to look back at the one chasing her. another of “the legion”, as the rest of the survivors seemed to call them.
she had been repairing a generator, business as usual, when she heard the telltale heartbeat followed by them dashing through a window like it was nothing. as much as she hated to admit it, that spooked her a little, but she managed to get a small head start thanks to a trick meg taught her... not that it did much, since she was out in the open, with no pallets to try and slap onto her.
and those few seconds of looking back proved to be her downfall, as she slammed into a tree she hadn’t noticed prior. this trial was not her’s, was it? she needs to buy time for the others...
“h-hey! why the hell are you even doing this, anyway?”
she shuffles against the tree, hands raising up in an attempt to make a convincing surrender motion.
“i mean... there’s the whole, spider god thing i guess, but.... is this a “just for kicks” kinda thing or....”
she’s visibly nervous, but her voice makes it clear she’s trying to mask it regardless.
