Robot afficionados - It’s bag day! (well a little after but who’s counting?) At this point I’m talkin’ to FRC alums and vets. I miss bag day. I loved the clock countdown. The bag and tag. The time stamped picture, and the unwarranted relief of being ‘concluded’. But bag day is a thing of the past, sigh. So, to celebrate (belated) bag day, here is this weeks post. Congrats on a great season so far, team 5199.. I’m super .proud of this team. We know how hard it is to win a regional. No matter how much skill and how great your robot is, competition is never completely in your control. 2 back to back wins in 3 weeks means we had the right team, with right solution on the right weekends, with the right alliance partners. This is it. Week 2 of FRC competition. So many surprises watching week 1 competition. Congrats to everyone who made it onto the field. For @robotdolphins it’s go time. This week we’re at our home event, the Orange County Regional here in California. The team has been working hard (I wouldn’t say tirelessly because some have been sleeping on our field - you know who you are) to prepare for our back to back to back events for the next 3 weeks. Regardless, I am proud of the efforts that went into this years rig. And since we haven’t released any reveal material, you get this years annual bot drawing as a teaser. It’s the final countdown 🎤Week 1 of competition starts now!!! Ready or not it’s happening. Good luck to all the teams competing this year. Next week @robotdolphins reveals our rig for the season.
