...It's actually half-written and has been for months, but I've been so demotivated to write it since I lost interest in the fic. It's even all planned and everything! And it's the last one.

Honestly, if I have time, I'll finish it up soon, but being in college I don't have a whole lot of free time to work on fics :')

I don't want to leave it unfinished, though. I just feel like my writing and story planning and quality has gotten so much better that I don't want to continue it, BUT I know I'll eventually finish it no matter what soooo... I can't give a concrete answer but maybe in the next month? maybe?

Hi! I’ve been eyeing veritatem dies aperit for a while because I love mumscarian but I’m ngl the “mumbo jumbo & goodtimeswithscar” tag has me a little worried. Is the endgame of the fic full mumscarian or is it more of a grian has two hands scenario? (Not that there’s anything wrong with scarian + grumbo I just prefer them as a triad over a v poly relationship)

The ending ends up being more of a triad! Since the fic is from Grian's perspective, you do get more of a v feel at times, but throughout the story (at this moment) there are moments that unfortunately Grian misses due to.. circumstances :) or that he takes in a jealous way between Mumbo and Scar.

I definitely plan on this being a triad scenario. We all love Grian and as much as he is the main character in this situation, I don't want to write a "Grian has two hands scenario" cuz,, I just don't!

Of course the romance starts as a main plot between Mumbo and Grian, then Grian and Scar as things happen, but at the same time, Mumbo and Scar are becoming closer and developing a more intimate relationship. I do wanna write some shorts for post-story and other moments that aren't shown from the main POV after I finish VDA, though!!

The relationship isn't really the main plot focus after shit starts going down, but I do want to have it here because it's a part of the characters journey through the experiences and also helps foster conflict that ends in a pretty great poly triad (itll be great as long as I go with what I have planned, I mean)

I am so close to being done with the next chapter but writers block is running rampant in my head and also I have SO SO many deadlines for colleges and things right now that I'm way too busy to write anything anymore :')

as soon as I'm free, I'm going to finish it. I have the rest of the fic pretty much all the way planned out, and I rlly wanna get it done so I can go back and edit the whole thing LOL seriously. So many plot holes and silly writing errors. But I am going to keep the OG up on ao3 dw im just editing it for myself (and anyone who wants to reread)

hello! do you play Minecraft? if so, have you made art of your base or do you have any pics? I'd love to see them

i play a LOT of minecraft! i havent drawn a whole lot of my bases in full, probably because I built it? Like I love drawing others, but drawing my own is hard cuz I've already spent so much time looking at it to build it, so there's less motivation there (or something, i also do not have a lot of time LOL)

but here's one that i sketched out a while ago for the interior that's in my heading! i never finished lining because it was so small (this drawing is about as big as the palm of my hand) but I got pretty far!

i do love building a lot tho! you guys cant tell anyone (KEEP IT HUSH /srs!! i try to keep my online presences separate in fan and content creator circles) but here's a yt vid I made of everything I built last year :)

i should definitely try and draw some of the things I've built tho! I've been working on some pet portrait commissions as of late so maybe once I'm done with those :D

for the commission giveaway, does the screenshot have to be from straight on or can it be at an angle? and what about texture packs?

It can be at an angle, I'll just draw the build from that angle. All of the examples I had for this style just happened to be straight on, but I don't mind angles at all. And texture packs are perfectly fine!

The only thing im worried about is having a lower FOV and having f1 on :)

I've been thinking about DL and have some thoughts so welcome to whatever this is.

You know how people are deciding that maybe they don't want to be tied down to their soulmate. As soon as there's a red team, things will probably drastically change. It's going to force people to meet in the middle if they actually want to survive because sure, you can deviate from your partner but if they end up getting attacked by red lifes and you're not there then that could end poorly for you too. It is easier to attack if a pairing is seperated after all.

For now they can deviate and stray from each other but the more dangerous it gets, the better it'll be if they know they have an ally in their soul bond.

Don't think about how the horns will gradually die out as more and more people until there's only one pair left. And who knows if they'll even like the horns.

Also less of a thing about the current series but more just a wild idea. You know how Last Life is the spin off on Third Life. What about if they do the same thing for Double Life? But instead of like the boogie man or something they have someone who is unpaired and they must try to steal away someones partner. I'm not too sure on what the details there would be but just imagine the chaos of partners swapping around, maybe it's limited by people of the same life colour as you or the stealers lives are the only ones that count. Idk. I think it would be funny.

i absolutely love the thoughts here and the whole concept of them just,,, homewrecking instead of the boogeyman? GOLDEN! they're like, already doing that but there's no incentive and there's no way to force the pairs to split or make someone else split at the moment, so giving them that "do it or die" motive would be so so interesting
