sorry for all the Pokemon On Main today but im having Opinions 

one of those?? usum literally didn’t need to exist, all of its main story plot could have just been made into a long post game adventure in sumo lmao and it would have actually been better because it wouldn’t have destroyed lillie, gladion and lusamine’s characters

like everything actually new and relevant to alola in usum (necrozma plot, mantine riding, photo club, ultra wormhole ride etc) could have just been in sumo if they actually spent more time on the game

it’d be like...post all the looker and anabel ultra beast catching stuff, maybe alola’s light has been flickering during this which builds up to necrozma doing shit

when you go and catch necrozma in ten carat hill, you need your mascot legendary with you (also necrozma is like...hinted at during the game more, not by name but its more like legends and hushed stories)

also hau or gladion is there so you can have an adventure buddy

necrozma wakes up and does what it does in usum; take the mascot legendary, fuse with it, and then you have to fight it (possibly a static encounter, so you can go back and get a 6th party member if needs be) 

you beat it and it disappear into ultra space, this time, you and hau/gladion jump in after it before the portal closes 

you end up in ultra megaoplois, which ISNT just an over glorified corridor this time, and you can go through, talk to people, go in buildings, as you search for nebby, and you learn about necrozma more, this being who you’ve heard hints of ,but now it has a name, and you learn that the people here tried to steal its light long ago an crippled it, like in usum, hence why its taken the light here and it needs more 

maybe you also learn more about the other ultra beasts from npcs here!

you find it in some shrine area, the ultra necrozma shit happens, and bingo bogno you’re done! you can catch necrozma itself after this 

i dont care if it feels tacked on, the point it it’d still work lmao and it’d be worth it to save lillie’s character!! simple as!!! and actually keeping lusamine evil instead of like?? evil?? good?? some weird mix where everyone lets her keep frozen pokemon for some reason??? 

‘what about the rainbow rocket stuff’ i dont care at ALL about that bit, like...its not even the versions of those team leaders that y’all fight in the old games so who cares lol the only good shit that comes out of that bit is guzma holding those grunts back and cyrus and lysanders battle themes

what about the ultra recon squad??? i dont rly care about those either they were tacked on in usum as it was, maybe they’re in ultra megalopolis i dont rly care

the warp ride mini game can still be a thing, you just need to take the mascot legendary to ride! you can shiny hunt ultra beasts and legendaries! and go to the ultra beast home dimensions (including stakataka, poipole and blacephalon!)

maybe make the music a lil more menacing, like i love the ultra warp ride music, but like...when you got to ultra space in sumo it feels DAUNTING it feels scary!!! you feel like you dont belong and i think usum failed with that, like in sumo it felt like if you didn’t get back soon you’d never be able to (tho i guess if you keep going in and out of ultra wormholes bc you’re shiny hunting its gonna feel less daunting anyway so im mixed on this, since nihilego’s and guzzlords ultra space and ultra megalopolis all have that vibe i want so  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

as i said, photo club and mantine ride could have easily been implemented into sumo so i dont need to say anything there

‘emma thats too much to put in one game it wouldn’t have the capabilities to do that!!!’ y’all do NOT KNOW THAT GNJKFHNKDFJ if they had the time to work on the game instead of churning out two games super quick then it could have been possible! 

like my personal pokemon canon literally is this lmao bc i’d infinitely prefer this to ultra sun and moons existence
