Goede voornemens 2022

Dit waren mijn goede voornemens en plannen van 2022. Eens even kijken wat ervan geworden is :)

1. relaxen, ontspannen, naar m'n lijf luisteren -> best goed gelukt. Door de zwangerschap dwong mijn lijf mij om goed voor mezelf te zorgen en voldoende rust te nemen. 2. nieuwe recepten leren maken met groentes uit de moestuin -> yes, gelukt. Veel gekookt, veel uitgeprobeerd en lekker gegeten. Jam. 3. geen nieuwe kleding kopen; alleen ruilen, lenen of tweedehands -> deels gelukt. Ik heb een liefde voor wol ontwikkeld. Fijne tweedehands wollen kleding voor volwassenen is lastig te vinden, dus ik heb wel nieuwe wolletjes voor mezelf gekocht dit jaar. Verder was Vinted mijn grootste vriend en heb ik ook veel kleding geleend en gekregen van familie en vrienden (zowel voor mijzelf als voor Morris). - de natuur in: Op pad met de boswachter (4) -> nope, niet gelukt. Wildspotten (5) -> ja, hertjes in het bos! Bootje varen (6) -> telt de veerboot van Duitsland naar Denemarken mee? Dan wel :) 7. brieven en kaarten schrijven -> Ja, deels gelukt. Ik vind het heel leuk om kaartjes te sturen voor bijzondere gebeurtenissen naar de mensen die ik liefheb. 'Echte' brieven heb ik niet geschreven dit jaar. 8. wildplukcursus afronden en in de praktijk brengen -> Nee, niet gelukt. 9. nieuwe groentes leren kweken -> Jazeker! We hebben afgelopen jaar artisjokken gezaaid (die geven pas artisjokken in jaar 2, dus ben benieuwd), ik had zelfgezaaide aubergines in de kas, nieuwe soorten bonen en we hebben bloemkool geprobeerd te kweken. - creatief met bloemen: (10) boeketten maken van plukbloemen uit eigen tuin -> ja gelukt! We hadden veel nieuwe soorten plukbloemen in de tuin dit jaar, veelal zelf voorgezaaid. Ik wist bij veel bloemen alleen niet goed hoeveel ruimte ze nodig hadden, dus het werd een beetje een bloemenoerwoud , (11) droogbloemenkunst maken -> ja, mede mogelijk gemaakt door mijn fantastische babyshower waar we een bloemenkrans maakte met droogbloemen. 12. mijzelf inzetten voor het klimaat door mijn eigen keuzes en als coach van klimaatgesprekken -> eigen keuzes ja, coach klimaatgesprekken nee. Duurzaamheid en klimaat blijven voor mij belangrijke issues om mij op dagelijkse basis mee bezig te houden. 13. leren leven met PDS -> het blijft een beetje een zoektocht, die zere buik. Het gaat een beetje af en aan, soms heb ik er dagenlang geen last van en daarna weer een tijdje wel. Nu moet ik zeggen dat ik er met de zwangerschap ook niet zoveel puf voor had om precies uit te zoeken welke producten voor een zere buik zorgde. Ik kan nu goed leven met deze buik en probeer zo gezond mogelijk te eten. Dat lijkt het best te werken. 14. ons geld laten groeien, meer geld = meer vrijheid voor later -> onze beleggingen gingen helaas niet erg goed dit jaar. Gelukkig is het geld voor later en kunnen we het gewoon laten staan. Hopen op een beter beursjaar dit jaar! 15. samen op vakantie gaan naar het buitenland -> We zijn samen naar Kreta en naar Kopenhagen geweest. 16. een bezoek brengen aan musea -> We zijn naar Naturalis, het Eschermuseum en OnePlanet (vroeger het Museon)  geweest. En hebben voor dit jaar een Museumjaarkaart! Op het wensenlijstje staan onder andere: de Hortus in Leiden, Spoorwegmuseum, het fotomuseum in Den Haag, Beeld en geluid in Hilversum, openlucht in Arnhem, Maritiem museum in Rotterdam en depot Booijmans. 17. meubels kopen, opknappen en verkopen -> telt het ombouwen van de co-sleeper die we tweedehands op marktplaats op de kop tikte ook? Mark heeft de achterpoten eraf gezaagd zodat hij boven op de klepkasten naast ons bed kan staan haha. 18. in een boomhut slapen -> nope, niet gelukt. 19. sportief blijven, zoveel mogelijk s ochtends sporten met DGM -> in januari ging dit heel goed en heb ik bijna iedere ochtend met Dear Good Morning gesport. Daarna had mijn lijf er geen zin meer in en heb ik totdat Morris 2 maanden was niets aan sport gedaan behalve baby tillen en wandelen. In oktober ben ik voorzichtig aan weer wat krachttraining gaan doen en toen we de fietskar kochten, kon ik ook weer gaan fietsen. 20. op moestuinexpeditie; mooie openbare moestuinen bekijken in Nederland -> alleen online gelukt. 21. naar een waddeneiland met de boot -> nee niet gelukt. 22. nieuwe avonturen beleven! -> ZEKER WEL GELUKT!

Ik zal zo ook even de nieuwe poster met voornemens voor dit jaar posten. Sommige voornemens en plannen ga ik zeker recyclen voor dit jaar. Kijken wat ervan terecht komt :)

Plattegrond van het Drive-Thru museum van het Booijmans in Ahoy. Deze plattegrond is heel open, het geeft de kijker de vrijheid alle kanten op te rijden. Dit leek mij een interessant concept, omdat de verschillende manieren waarop stenen worden gevormd elkaar beïnvloeden. Door middel van een vrije ruimte kan je deze invloeden op elkaar benadrukken.

Het zijn dan wel niet de Piramides van Giza, maar dat betekent niet dat we niets om dit erfgoed moeten geven.

Brunssum had ooit een bloeiende pottenbakkers industrie. Ons keramiek werd geëxporteerd door grote delen van Europa. Tegenwoordig zie je daar haast niets meer van. Veel aandacht voor dit hoofdstuk van onze lokale geschiedenis is er niet. Ooit hadden wij een permanente tentoonstelling in de Brikke Oave, maar deze is na wanbeleid verplaats naar een depot in Maastricht. Schinveld heeft een eigen expositie, maar verder? Voor Schinveld-Brunssum aardewerk kom je aan het gaan naar het Limburgs Museum in Venlo, naar het Booijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam of het Rijksmuseum voor Oudheden in Leiden. Het enige wat in Brunssum herinnert aan dit verleden is wat naamgeving her en der. De storthoop met misbaksels, als je die weet te vinden of dat ene monument waar niemand van weet dat het aan het pottenbakkers verleden doet herinneren. Brunssum mag best wat trotser zijn.

Reflection

This project was very nice and interesting but on the other hand really difficult as well. I liked this project because a park is quite different of all the other projects we have done until now. The difficulty was in the size of the project. The museum park is such a big area and the time in this quarter wasn’t forthcoming because all of the free days in between. This made it hard for me to keep in the flow of the project and as it went on I really had to step up my game because other ways I would have lost it completely and failed. The trip to Copenhagen really put me back in the game and got me my motivation back.  

 I really liked the pattern language by Christopher Alexander. So much that I almost couldn’t choose which ones I wanted to use. I made a list with all of the patterns that I like and narrowed it down from there. First I wanted to use 18 of the patterns. But I figured out that that was a little bit too enthusiastic. Because of that I started in another way by figuring out what kind of functions I want the park to have. Quite fast I knew that I wanted to have water in my park that can be used for swimming and a place for people to enjoy music, theatre of other events. For some time I thought about the Booijmans Depot and how I wanted to change it. But after a while I decided that it should stay as it is because it is being build the way it was designed and for me it didn’t make sense to change it there for.

I wanted to design a park where the people can come and have a moment to enjoy some nature. I really like walking in the woods when I’m stressed so I wanted my park to be full of nature. This resulted in the idea of a forest with some open areas for the functions I wanted to ad.

 From my own experience in the museum park I noticed that it is used by many bikes and scooters but the path is quite narrow. This results in the fact that the people who are having a walk there have to deviate constantly. I find this really annoying because when I go to the park I want to have a nice calm walk. So I designed a high lane for all the people who want to cross the park quickly. This high lane is above the ground so the pedestrians don’t find any annoyance. Under the high lane will be a place for cafés, some small restaurants, bars and public toilets. On the ground level of the park, nest to the high lane there will be a pedestrian path. Both of the paths squirm through the forest along all open spaces.

 The first open area is the HIGHlight of the park: Booijmans Depot. The ground level of the depot is surrounded by open space so you can walk around the depot and have a good look at it. The extraordinary material of the depot will make the forest even look bigger.  

��If you follow the main path you will cross the high lane by walking underneath it. When you come out of the other side you will have a walk between trees that leads to the open area with the pond. This is the place to have a barbeque or a swim when the weather is nice and in winter time when it gets cold enough the pond can be used for ice skating for example.

 Walking further along the path you have the options to take a right exit thought the high lane which end at the stairs of the Arena. The Arena is sunken into the ground to make it lower but maintain the amount of stair seats. Via the Arena you can enter the high lane at the top.

 Is you take the left turn you will have a nice walk with lots and lots of trees. Suddenly you can take another left turn. If you follow this path you will come in the last open area in the forest: the playground. Here is a place for children to play around, climb and discover. The space is multifunctional and can also be used by people who are working out.
