The Golden Bookshop and Its Only Book?

Through warm shades of halos casted by the lantern, the Bookteller’s face: half buried in shadows, flickering a smile through pursed lips. He is two and a half paces to your right, where the suggestion of light seems to stop, disperse and diminish. An unmanned door, perhaps, or another turning in The Corridor.

How far have you come? The footsteps behind you two rearranged themselves chronologically, new ones falling over the old, superimpose like layers of fossils. You look back, the darkness that lay behind you is darker and heavier than the ones awaiting beyond, through it you can no longer see the direction from which you two came.

On second thought, you are no longer sure you did come from any direction. Abrupt as the beginning of the last story, you may have simply appeared somewhere in this darkness that stretches far as time, where nothing has meaning except the still-unfrozen motion of ground which expands with each of your steps, and that single, guttering candlelight muffling the edge of your vision, tracing the half-recognized face of…

The Bookteller leads you further down.

Tutti possiamo essere d’accordo sul fatto che, attualmente, @ska.w.barnes crea le copertine più belle e accattivanti d’Italia. E questo è un dato di fatto. Quindi, fin qui, siamo tutti d’accordo che questa copertina sia davvero meravigliosa. Esce oggi! E non vedo l’ora che mi arrivi il cartaceo per poter vedere gli inserti che ha inserito, già solo per questo vale due volte il prezzo di copertina. Non è un libro è un piccolo capolavoro di grafica. Però, avete ragione, sì, bello tutto, ma a noi interessa il contenuto. Ecco che quando ho visto il post di ricerca #bookteller per leggere in anteprima l’arc mi sono fiondato. ✨E vi dirò... “Luce Nera” è come quando vai al ristorante di lusso, non ordini tu, ordinano per te, ti arriva il piatto, composizione bellissima, gusto eccezionale, ma c’è un ma... finisce tutto il trenta secondi. E rimani lì, seduto, a guardare gli altri che con forchetta e coltello contemplano a piccoli bocconi il pasto, mentre tu l’hai già divorato e non sai se poter dire al cameriere: “come assaggio era buono, puoi calare la pasta”. ✨Quindi sì, assolutamente promosso, ma ora vogliamo il resto. (Okay, per chi ha letto già il racconto, avete ragione, paragonare questo racconto a del cibo è terribile, mi scuso... coof coof quella scena coof coof XD) 📚È un racconto paranormal/horror da leggere tutto in un fiato (terza persona, passato, unico pov, molto scorrevole) che getta le basi a quella che potrebbe essere (ci auguriamo vivamente) una nuova avventura. 🪦Parla di possessioni e di una certa “azienda” che si occupa di “ripulire” i luoghi infestati. Oraaaa, ora potrei parlarvi di Noah MaiNaGioia, di Stronza Melrose, del piccolo Kyle ChiTeL’haFattoFare,MaTrovatiUnLavoroNormale, e dello strano James (tentativo di cosplay in foto) ma non voglio dirvi di più perché già il racconto è breve e la cosa migliore è leggerlo senza sapere assolutamente nulla, in modo da potersi godere al massimo la lettura. 👉Piccolo consiglio: fate attenzione ai dettagli!
