thinking about the time my moms middle school played the lion king as their play for the year and had kids on stilts playing the giraffes like the original play.

and then during an assembly preview one of the kids’ stilts slid on the gym floor, and they fell and twisted their ankle as a result so they just dropped the stilt thing entirely

Me, a non fan who got roped into seeing it with my sibling: OMG! I knew it! Abby is Baby! Theory confirmed!

My sibling, the superfan who roped me into this: Uh, not exactly? You see, this ties into the spin off novels where William Afton had a daughter named…

actual things my elementary school drama teacher did

tried to get permission for elementary school students to fly in harnesses for peter pan (it was denied)

took the kids for one performance to a golden corral-type place without notifying the poor employees that 50 or so soon to be sugar hyped elementary school students and their parents were going to be there (they were not happy)

rewrote some scripts drastically to avoid paying royalty fees, leading to such amazing moments as Elmo and The Hulk lip-syncing to "Who I'd Be" from Shrek the Musical during a bootleg monsters university play (not making that up)

cast me in such amazing roles as Jaws/Peter Pan's Shadow in Peter Pan, a teenage genki girl principal roz, and cop #3 in little shop of horrors (yes that was an actual play we did)

got fired for insulting a kid (teachers covered it up as being sick)

Shout out to Mr. Muhammad, the real chaotic neutral.

fun memory i just recalled:

one time i accidentally bought tickets to doctor strange 2 in imax instead of standard and my mom just...let us go, abiet with a warning to be careful about checking the right box.
