NARRACIÓN, GAMIFICACIÓN Y DIGITALIZACIÓN DEL PAISAJE DE APRENDIZAJE.

En esta nueva entrada en el blog voy a hablar sobre la narración, la gamificación y la digitalización de los paisajes de aprendizaje.

En la etapa de Educación Infantil, sobre todo con los proyectos, la narración es un aspecto clave que nos permite crear una historia que motive a los más pequeños para el aprendizaje: el extraterrestre que ha llegado a la Tierra en su nave estropeada, el cavernícola que ha traspasado una piedra y ha llegado al cole del pasado, unos vikingos que se han perdido navegando y han llegado a nuestra localidad, un ladrón que ha robado cuadros de un museo… Y todo esto comienza siempre con una actividad de motivación que despierta la curiosidad de los alumnos.

En mis años de docencia siempre he intentado crear una historia motivadora para cada centro de interés o proyecto. Por lo tanto, el storytelling es una práctica que utilizo y que me sirve de ayuda. La etapa infantil es muy agradecida en este aspecto, puesto que todo lo que les cuentas les parece fascinante y lleno de magia y fantasía.

Por otro lado, respecto al paisaje de aprendizaje que he creado, sirviéndome del proyecto de los vikingos que he trabajado en este curso, he pensado una historia acorde a ello. Partiendo de un vikingo que ya conocían y muy famoso desde mi niñez, Vicky el vikingo, tendremos que ayudarlo entre todos para que pueda volver a su país, Noruega. Vicky estaba navegando tranquilamente por los mares cuando, de repente, se metió sin darse cuenta por un río y acabó chocando la parte frontal y se le estropeó su drakkar. Se encuentra perdido y sin saber qué hacer, pero por suerte llega a nuestro colegio y nos pide ayuda para reparar su barco.

Partiendo de esta historia, los niños llevarán a cabo una serie de actividades del proyecto siguiendo el itinerario que marca el paisaje, consiguiendo material, herramientas y objetos que les permitirán arreglar el drakkar de Vicky.

En cuanto a la gamificación del paisaje he considerado, dada la corta edad de mis alumnos, hacerlo sencillo y sin demasiados elementos de gamificación para que les quede claro lo que pueden conseguir si realizan bien las actividades. Al comienzo de esta aventura, Vicky les hará entrega de un pergamino donde podrán pegar las insignias que consigan cuando van superando los retos, llegando a ser unos auténticos vikingos. Estas insignias, creadas en una actividad del curso, son tres: “Drakkar de los mil mares”, “Escudo protector” y “Thor, martillo de poder”.

Cada insignia será entregada cuando hayan superado varios bloques de actividades, distribuidos en diferentes niveles:

• Nivel 1: bloques 1 y 2: “Entrenamiento vikingo” (entrega insignia “Drakkar de los mil mares”)

• Nivel 2: bloques 3 y 4: “Vikingos en acción” (entrega insignia “Escudo protector”)

• Nivel 3: bloques 5 y 6: “Espada, escudo y corazón” (entrega insignia “Thor, martillo de poder”)

• Nivel 4: bloque 7: “Fuerza e inteligencia vikinga”

Estas insignias serán físicas ya que a estas edades les hace más ilusión recibir una recompensa que se pueda manipular a que sean digitales.

Para crear este paisaje de aprendizaje, he utilizado la herramienta “Genial.ly” porque es la que controlo bastante bien y con la que he realizado actividades interactivas en diferentes momentos en el aula. Seguro que hay otras herramientas cuyo funcionamiento sea similar, y me gustaría conocer, pero siendo honesta, creo que debemos elegir ciertos recursos que nos puedan servir en nuestro día a día, conocer a fondo su utilidad y sentirnos cómodos con su funcionamiento. Ya solo pensar en crear un paisaje de aprendizaje requiere dedicar un esfuerzo y tiempo extra que en muchas ocasiones no tenemos, por lo que tenemos que ser realistas y, sobre todo, prácticos.

Otras herramientas que conozco y utilizo para crear recursos interactivos que se pueden añadir como actividades al paisaje de aprendizaje son, por ejemplo, Educaplay, Wordwall, Boomcards o Liveworksheets.

Como he dicho, conozco el funcionamiento de Genial.ly y lo he utilizado en bastantes ocasiones, no solo para crear recursos para el aula, sino también para hacer presentaciones y otros trabajos. Como ventajas de su utilidad, señalo:

Su facilidad de uso, sin necesidad de tener conocimientos avanzados en diseño gráfico.

La interactividad, pudiendo agregar elementos como enlaces o animaciones haciendo la presentación o recurso más atractivos.

Tiene una variedad de plantillas que se pueden usar, sin tener que partir de cero.

Los contenidos se pueden compartir fácilmente a través de enlaces.

Como desventajas:

Se necesita conexión a Internet para poder utilizarlo.

Limita su personalización en ocasiones en su versión gratuita.

Aunque sea fácil de utilizar, es necesario invertir tiempo en conocerlo y dominarlo, como cualquier otra herramienta.

Personalmente, si tengo que señalar alguna dificultad, a nivel general, sería el tiempo que he tardado en buscar las imágenes que quería añadir en el paisaje, quitarles el fondo, pensar cómo estructurarlas y que quede vistoso… Me gusta tenerlo todo bien organizado y “atado” e intentar hacer un buen trabajo, y creo que simplemente es algo que forma parte de todo el proceso.

Ya para concluir, solo me queda decir que me llevo un buen aprendizaje de todo el trabajo que estoy realizando y me planteo ponerlo en práctica para el curso que viene en alguno de los proyectos que vaya a trabajar.
