Trust is an amazing thing when you let go and believe. Earlier this month, I gave my intern the same opportunity I was given when I was 19. She was given full responsibility to coordinate, plan and execute the shoot for one of our upcoming campaigns. It was nothing I couldn’t have done on my own, and I sure had the time to do it. But it’s times like this that you take a step back and just guide. Leading and dictating are two separate things many people tend to confuse. I had my fair share of bad internships and experience, and I never want the same for anyone in my team. While there were hiccups along the way, like all other shoots, I’m super super proud of my girl, @likeavossss, who ran the entire thing on her own and never once complained. Shoots are tiring, not to mention the day went from scorching hot to rainy and wet in just a few hours. For her first time, she did a fantastic job prepping the models, giving directions on set, and taking care of everyone. She really stepped up. I’ve never been happier with this decision and I hope you will pass it onto someone in future when it’s your turn to lead. Faith is a powerful thing that will give you the confidence to do things beyond what you think you can, and sometimes you just need someone to believe in you. Really thankful for this awesome talented bunch, and couldn’t have had a better crew.
