Brawl of the Objects... Theory?  Headcanon?
Baguette heavily looks up to, and tried to emulate his father, Croissant. If he was being genuine about his father then it’s clear he has a real admiration for him. We also see that Croissant is no stranger to adopting French Stereotypes (note his beret) and I think Croissant has this pride of being French that he carries with him everywhere. His son, looking up to him, tried to be like that, stereotypes and all.
It’s mentioned specifically that Croissant adventured outside of France, and it would make sense considering Baguette seems to be from Canada (I don’t know French accents but I know the BOTO wiki says he has a French-Canadian one). So Baguette, possibly through adoption, moved to Quebec with his father after living in an English speaking area, about old enough to have already been fluent in English.
Baguette felt the need to be French because of all this. His father was French and that was such a big part of his identity, and he wanted to be just like him. he wasn’t trying to convince everyone else of his French-ness more than he was trying to convince himself. He eventually came to terms with the fact that he wasn’t his father, he was someone else, and I‘d say he fully realized this after he was eliminated.

Unofficial Foreign Dubs Of Object Shows!
Unbelebter Wahnsinn (II German Dub): Two dubs exist, one serious and faithful to the original show, and a parody dub with tons of swearing.
Strjid om Droom Eiland (BFB Dutch Dub): A dub made by Dutch BFDI fan Bittermarie that wasn't received very well thanks to the presence of unnecessary internet slang and memes, along with randomly inserting profanity and dirty jokes in the characters' lines.
Animoitu Eloton Taistelu (AIB Finnish Dub): Made by Finnish-American user Anton Koivu. Adds a few Finnish pop culture references.
ობიექტების ჩხუბი (BOTO Georgian Dub): Changes some character's genders (such as Party Hat becoming female), and having Baguette actually speak English.
معركة جزيرة الأحلام (BFDI Arabic Dub): You don't want to listen to the dialogue for this dub, since the microphone quality is loud.
무생물의 광기 (II Korean Dub): This one is official, and actually airs on the Korean television channel Tooniverse for some reason.
Nhee Laadey Rour (OO Manx Dub): Obscure Manx dub of Object Overload made by Visvio2 that has less than a thousand views.
Cīņa Par Sapņu Salu (BFDI Latvian Dub): A very, VERY obscure lost dub of BFDI that was made by an unknown user. Only two episodes were dubbed.

Well today I shall truly prove my nonsense and share with you all the biggest crack theory/AU of my career, based purely on things I pieced together like a weird puzzle
BFB, Inanimate Insanity, and Brawl of the Objects all take place on the same planet.
Okay, that’s a pretty big claim, right? Well, strap in buddy because I have plenty of inane ramblings related to it.
So first off, in this theory/AU of sorts, earth/the planet we inhabit has some more noticeable changes. The most major is the fact that instead of humans, objects are the main species and humans don’t seem to have existed at all. Yes, there are the Davids and Doras, but they’re not human.
Aliens do exist, and seem to visit the planet regularly, along with other non object creatures that exist. There are biomes and seasons similar to Earth, and besides a few new ones, the planet is mostly regular there. Even down to having it’s own version of Canada if BOTO is anything to go by.
The most obvious reasoning behind this are the regular references to each other. Inanimate Insanity and BFB are obvious, with cameos and the whole Nickel short that recently came out. We know it’s canon that BFDI was a live on air show in it’s universe, and Party Hat references it to why he would want to be on an object show. There’s also the cameos of BOTO and BFDI on II (I would talk about the other hosts on S2, but I haven’t watched those shows yet).
That’s honestly all I have in reasoning, so now it’s time for rambling.
I’ve always imagined that the cast of BFDI are children when the show begins. Why are they on an island? Because due to the slight changes in object society, island communities are much more common. II also takes place on an island.
Anyways, the BFDI cast start out as kids and the II cast are slightly older when their show starts. I have no idea how old the BOTO contestants would be.
New point, how are objects born/made in this strange world? Well, eggs of course. Taken from Eggy and a funny idea about Fan’s instant nurturing of the alien egg, I imagine object children are born from eggs. Except for the robots. Robots, shown from Meeple’s creation of life, can be made by other objects. This can be to both their detriment and to their benefit.
Another point, going back to the Canada thing, but we know that certain areas still exist here. Taco has a British accent, Baguette speaks in French, Canada exists, there are places from our world in here. Yoyleland and Goiky most likely take place somewhere around where Africa is, or at least near the equator. This does mean that Object America exists so uh, take that what you will.
Anyways uh yeah, this probably has many more implications but I’m tired so enjoy this

Boat: Bonjour, Baguette, Voulez–vous coucher avec moi?
Baguette: No, I don't want to sleep with you
Boat: Is that what that means? Oh, man, I had a really gross tennis instructor.

So at some point during the Post-BOTO stream (unfortunately can’t say if it’s part one or two, I still need to clip that part) Antony mentioned that the reason why Scissors is so rude to most others is because she went through an experience that led her to not really want people around her. She builds up walls to keep others away, keeping her guard up out of fear of having something like experience happen again, and having to deal with getting hurt all of again.
Throughout the series we can really see this displayed, with only like two/three people that she really had some sort of connection with, but even then it can barley be called that. They’re just people who’s she’s talked to in a way that doesn’t seem demeaning in any way. Those being Rook, Baguette, and maybe Shieldy.
Rook in episode 12, and the other two in episode 13. We don’t see much of her because of how early she was eliminated, but considering how the others reacted when she did something as simple as saying something nice to Rook, she most likely didn’t do much in the background either. Speaking of that early elimination, Antony also says that if she hadn’t been eliminated so early, he would’ve loved to go more in depth with her as a character.
This is kinda seen in episode two, when it’s mentioned that Scissors never invites anyone to her birthday party, and it cuts to her sitting sadly. Then also in episode one when she says “Fine! I’ll just find the finish line by myself!” When all the others choose not to be with her, she tries to keep her tough mad face up, but ends up feeling sad about it in the end.
She hurts herself further trying to keep herself from getting hurt, it’s the exact opposite effect of which she wanted to have. It isn’t until after Rook has his mental breakdown, that she starts to be even slightly more open, even showing sympathy to Prince Emerald when it’s reveled that his (now ex) wife had gotten remarried and actually hates him now. That’s the only time (outside of the rook thing) where she showed ANY type of sympathy to anyone.
I’m so excitedly hoping to see her grow in the next episode, considering that characters who didn’t really like eachother (Pear n Popsicley/Slurpy n Popsicley) seem to have gotten friendlier, and seem to at least be friends now. So perhaps maybe she’ll have some people soon as well.
