Hi I’m the crossover AU person. I’m revisiting the idea and what if
Boat BOTO x Printer AB. Maybe romantic, maybe as a QPP. I feel like Boat is soft spoken enough to perhaps ease Printer’s constant extreme distress. Except when Boat does her regular demolition of the fourth wall, that’d probably startle Printer every time
Hi coau person !!
"Did you know that hundreds of people are watching us right now?"
"WHAT."

Episode 145: Creepy Tales of Sirens, Selkies, and Mermaids From Around the Globe Photodump
Image 01: The African water spirit Mami Wata (upper left). From Iran, a Luristan water goddess (upper right). From Indonesia, the Nyai Roro Kidul (lower left). The ancient Syrian goddess of fertility known as Atargatis is said to be the first true mermaid in written record (lower right). Image 02: From Finland, the vetehinen(upper left). From Brazil, the boto of the Amazon River (upper right). In an Italian folktale, Cola Pesce was a human boy until his mother cursed him to become part fish (lower left). Hans Christian Anderson’s Danish fairytale of The Little Mermaid (lower right). Image 03: Selkies! Creatures from Scottish folklore that can be male or female and present themselves as seals most of the time, but after shedding their skin like a coat they take on the visage of a human. Image 04: The Ballad of “the Great Selkie O’suleskerry”, sung on the YouTube Channel Port Celtic Songs. Image 05: A statue of a selkie that’s located on the seashore in the Faroe Isles of Scotland. Image 06: Melusine is depicted as having a serpent or fish's tail and wings. Image 07: Rusalki are water nymphs of Slavic mythology. They were believed to be the ghosts of women who died violent deaths by drowning. Image 08: Sirens as depicted in The Odyssey by Homer. Originally drawn as half-woman, half-bird, these creatures used their enticing singing voices to lure soldiers into dangerous waters. Image 09: a Japanese Ningyo drawing and a creepy monkey fish doll “mermaid” that was being kept in a shrine before being debunked by scientists Image 10: A video called “fish with human face” uploaded to r/interestingasfuck by u/thehimalayanviews, followed by “Crab gets thrown back on boat by siren/mermaid when TikToker throws it off - 2021”

Doing the BOTO gijinkas will definitely be an interesting challenge. Especially since I have to translate designs of characters like Boat and Boombox into humanoid designs that still keep their key aspects.
(For reference none of my gijinkas are human, just object head humanoids that vary depending on object type)

hi. Boto thoughts (i see no boto content ever)
OHHH MY GOD I LOVE BOTO SO MUCH ACTUALLY. One of My All Time Shows and One of the Classic Object Shows That Aged the Best. The Beginning of the Series is Just So Fun and Goofy and All the Contestants Have Charming Gimmicks, and When Antony Got a Bit Older the Writing is So Tight and Bits Like the Pizza "Cheese in His Crust" Thing Still Consistently Get a Laugh Out of Me. One of My Must-Sees, Just Such a Good Show. My One Gripe is I Feel Like the Rook Stuff is Overhyped in the Fandom. Rook is Fun and I Do Appreciate the Deeper Lore Going On But I Feel Like the Extreme Zeroing In On It Glosses Over How Much Genuine Fun a Lot of the Other Boto Characters Are. Why Don't We Draw Boat More I Want to See Boat Again.

this is not a poem
Not a poem / 6 p.m. At the shore Sunset, river, fishers, herons, ducks, fish, Boats, canoes Groups of tourists People running People walking People playing People talking And them, the botos. I was talking to my mother that this would be the perfect scenario to inspire a poet That’s not my case (for sure) I’m just an ordinary girl try to express what feels when enjoy this view. not a morning person Not a afternoon person But a sunset person. The girl from Tapajos (river). That’s me. I like the sunset. I love it. Actually I don’t know if there is a verb that can really say what I feel. Maybe “in love” or “fascinated” or even “seduced” I just wanna be clear that it is something more than what I know about feelings. (Maybe I’m become a poet (?) (Maybe this is how a poet feels when he is inspired (?)) It inspires me. It attracts me. It has my whole attention it doesn’t matter what I’m doing It is like I was being feed by the colors of the sky and the sun. Orange, pink, yellow, blue. It is like I was being feed but the botos. Cor de rosa, tucuxi. I could spend 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 minutes looking at a random point waiting for them to show up Waiting for see them for less than 1 second And it is magical. I don’t know if it is because of the local legends or because I really believe that they are magical But I have this feeling. I feel like a child that is seeing something for the first time. I insist: It is magical. I feel a strong connection with the river, the botos. For THIS river, for THESE BOTOS. It’s something special for me, you know? I was born watching this and even after 27 years, every time that I watch it it’s like the first time. People know that I like them when I share this moment with them. And it is a fact that I will never be tired of it. I wish I could be close friends with Sebastião, Nilson, Jana, Priscilla to tell them what I feel because I know they would make it the most beautiful song that I’ve heard. But that’s not the case (yet). This is not a poem or a song. This is my feeling. These are the feelings of the botos’ girl. These are the feelings of the sunset’s girl. And share with you because… You already know the reason.
Love, Girl from Rio Tapajos at 6 p.m.

Using passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) and convolutional neural networks (CNN), we monitored the movements of the two endangered Amazon River dolphin species, the boto (Inia geoffrensis) and the tucuxi (Sotalia fluviatilis) from main rivers to floodplain habitats (várzea) in the Mamirauá Reserve (Amazonas, Brazil). We detected dolphin presence in four main areas based on the classification of their echolocation clicks. Using the same method, we automatically detected boat passages to estimate a possible interaction between boat and dolphin presence. Performance of the CNN classifier was high with an average precision of 0.95 and 0.92 for echolocation clicks and boats, respectively. Peaks of acoustic activity were detected synchronously at the river entrance and channel, corresponding to dolphins seasonally entering the várzea. Additionally, the river dolphins were regularly detected inside the flooded forest, suggesting a wide dispersion of their populations inside this large area, traditionally understudied and particularly important for boto females and calves. Boats overlapped with dolphin presence 9% of the time. PAM and recent advances in classification methods bring a new insight of the river dolphins’ use of várzea habitats, which will contribute to conservation strategies of these species.
