For some reason the words “car club” has turned into a bad word in Georgia.  When I was introduced to this automotive scene car clubs were a huge part of it.  Back then if you were not in a car club no one would even look in your direction.  The standards for a club were much higher also, and it was a process to be apart of a club.  You had to not be a scumbag, you paid dues for events and…

Old Ways
Booty Bay was not entirely without its charm.  It was the one place in the world where an Orc, three Sin’doeri, and two Ren’dorei could remain without much notice.  The sailors were often too busy with shipments in the port, or too drunk to make mention of the odd grouping.  It was here that Yurissa and the others found refuge while they looked into other options for placement.
Tumblr media
Yurissa immediately began sending out inquiries regarding work and potential residency for them.  It took only a few days before a response was given to her search by way of a chance meeting in the local tavern.  A descendant of a former associate by the name of Cassiele Thalryn approached with information on a developing neutral territory where they might be accepted as residents.
Armed with this information Yurissa set off to Stormwind to learn more of this prospect, and look into potential work to fund the move.  The trip was a success in the sense that she not only became more informed of the possible territory but also dug up a work opportunity that promised to be very lucrative. After only a few short days she returned by way of ship to discuss the details with her comrades, and decide if they would move on the opportunities presented.  Yurissa waited until Wynter had drifted to sleep before gathering Bradashel, Anahlia, Emlinon, and Velistus for a late night chat.
“What little one learn?” Brada said as he slumped down in a large armchair with a mug of grog in hand. “I was successful at obtaining information on a possible residence in a developing territory by the name of Caras De’Avalorn.  It is to be a neutral territory built by and for the elven community, in special circumstances by extension their associates.  The project is an answer to the large displacement of our people in recent months.” She tossed the passports on the table, “This would ensure our unit remained undivided.”
“How much did it cost to have these forged?” Velistus asked looking at the documentation.  “They are legitimate, and I obtained them through a relation of a former associate in Quel’Thalas.  There is an offer on the table that could be quite lucrative if we were to move on it.”  Brada’s amber gaze shifted to Yuri, unblinking he asked, “What’s the job?”  Vel downed a generous portion of his drink more than aware whatever Yuri said would likely not meet with his overwhelming approval.
Yurissa tucked herself in the corner of the sofa next to Velistus tugging her knees to her chest.  Drink in hand she took a deep breath before breaking into a monotoned explanation.  “A former associate of ours Sairalis Runeweaver has passed and in her death, her daughter Cassiele Thalryn may be called into question.  This would be detrimental to her name so we need to ensure that those implications are not brought to light.”  Not one person questioned if the indication was reasonable, and the truth was they didn’t want to know.  Yurissa pursed her lips an indication to those who knew her there was more.
“And?” Brada directed as he noted Yurissa’s expression.  “Secondly,” Yurissa started again as Vel took the opportunity to refill his glass preparing himself for what came next. “Lady Thalryn has requested our assistance in retrieving her family’s fortune.”  Ana’s mouth fell open, “You mean the Runeweaver claim?” Yurissa nodded as Vel downed the refilled glass and poured another.  Brada took a swig from his mug before speaking, “Remember Runeweaver, Little one explain.” He gestured to Yurissa wanting more details about the task at hand.
Yurissa rested her glass on the end table nearby and sighed, “The implication of Lady Thalyrn’s involvement in her mothers’ end stems from the Farstrider’s.  There are some case notes and such we need to extract from the facility.” Vel slammed his empty glass down on the counter, “Are you out of your mind?” Brada glanced at Vel but thought this over pinching his beard between his thumb and index finger before replying, “Huntsmen? Shadow not work on those. Recon a must, think outside the package.”
Yurissa stared at Vel for a long moment before her eyes peeled over to Brada, “As for the claim, that is going to be a bit more elaborate.”  Vel tugged the bottle from the bar and moved back to the sofa slumping down in his seat.  He had given up entirely on the glass.  Ana and Em sat dumbfounded by such proposals trying to figure out how they would even approach such a task.
Yuri continued completely ignoring Vel for the time being she would address his issues later.  “There are two separate banks that the claim resides.  We will need to gain access to both and bleed the funds out over time to draw less suspicion of the activity.  Once that is done we will need to transport it to Booty Bay and place it into a new account.”  Velistus looked between Brada and Yuri quickly before he interjected again, “We do not have to do this we can settle elsewhere and find legitimate work.”
Yurissa coldly replied to Vel, “And Wynter? What about your niece? Here she has the opportunity to go to lessons with her own kind. We could live in peace together as we have in the past.  This job we have a great opportunity to make a small fortune and recover some of our own assets.” Vel stood and raised his tone sharply, “Do you think he would want you to take this risk for her? What if we don’t come back Yuri?”  Yurissa’s tone shifted and became more calculated as her pace slowed, “I know you think you speak for him when it pertains to her but let me assure you that you do not. We lost everything Vel, lest you forget.  This is what we are good and we have no choice but to start over.” Vel narrowed his eyes, “You think you are the only one who lost him? Yuri he was my damn brother.”
Brada growled out raising his own tone at the mention, “Enough!”  Everyone snapped their eyes to the Orc he had their respect and that in itself was a feat few could claim.  “Good opportunity for Wynter, agree… Need to think this over, also agree. Bickering no help anyone. We sort this out as a team.  Brada want assurances.”  Yurissa and Vel had both settled but childishly refused to look at one another.
Yurissa raised a single brow, “What do you mean assurances?” Brada looked at Yuri, “Meet with nose up Runeweaver offspring.  Hear for myself Wynter is safe.  Wynter will be cared for if things go wrong. Meantime work on plan… call meeting.” He said looking at Yurissa.
