July 18, 2023: Emilia Foundation selected 4 new graduates of Balading Elementary School as its incoming scholars for 6 years at Tabaco National High School after which they continue their scholarship to college/university if they fully comply with the terms and conditions of their scholarships clearly stated in the award letter and explained to them by school principal Mr. Aser Broso (see photo top right) in the awards meeting attended by the recipients, their parents/guardian and the 5th and 6th grade teachers. The top left photo shows all the recipients with their parents/guardian.

The new scholars are (l-r) bottom photo:

*Veil C Bragais, #2 of 4 siblings, father is tenant farmer, stay home mother, 91 grade average.

* Kimberly B Vibal, eldest of two siblings, father is laborer, stay home mother, 91 grade average.

*Limsay C Cabiles, eldest of 5 siblings, father is laborer, stay home mother, 95 grade average.

*Julien B de Guia, eldest of 3 siblings, father is laborer, stay at home mother, 93 grade average.

Emilia Foundation President Cornelio Reformina selected the four graduates from the list of 10 candidates recommended by the scholarship committee composed of two grade 5 teachers Agnes Gambal and Josephine Soria, two grade 6 teachers Candy Bayonito and Maria Tuscano with school principal Aser Broso as chairman.

The criteria used were leadership/personality, academic performance, financial need and birth rank among siblings.
