With all of these new interviews, especially hearing things from Luke’s perspective, I understand more now what route they’re taking with Colin this season.
Colin is obviously posturing a lot in ep1 but I think the 3some shit is a direct result of Lady Whistledown calling him out for being like a fake Casanova. I feel like he’ll care more about people seeing him/hearing about him at the brothel, proving to the ton that he’s a Rake now, than actually having the urge to hook up.
Then obviously all the “lessons” and them laughing at the ball are in ep2 and it ends with him kissing Pen, per her request. Then he spends ep3 contemplating his actual feelings while watching someone else court her.
Which leads him back to the brothel beginning of ep4 in order to “forget” or “move on” from his feelings for Pen and it physically doesn’t work.
With all of this context of Colin thinking he needs to do what his brothers did around the ton to prove he’s a “Man” now, I actually really like how it’s framed.
My grievances are still: Why does “the act” actually have to be shown when it could be like previous seasons of Colin just redressing. But MAINLY:
Why does it have to be a threesome?
This show is literally supposed to be more for/about the female gaze. And I think it’s pretty much common sense that this ain’t it.
One off F/M/F sex scenes almost always come off as gratuitous, or exploitative, or imbalanced, etc.
Also, with the time period it’s set in, sex is already such an imbalance of power between men and women.

Listen, I don’t take stock in rumors, but the one that really has me mega confused is that, supposedly, Colin doesn’t find out about LW until after they’re married?
What about the carriage scene?
That’s the whole point of the carriage scene???
Like, it’s not just the spicy bits, it’s literally the entire build up of him following her, discovering the LW draft, and the fallout of the that LEADING TO the carriage??????
Anyway, like I said, rumors, but also if it’s true I will be so incredibly disappointed~

Apparently the Nile is not just a river in Egypt. And apparently it runs deep within Mr. Colin Bridgerton. What do you mean in season 1 he loses it a bit when Pen walks in and he’s singing???
God that boy is so blind. Under exactly how many layers does yours feelings have to be buried for you to realise it only after coming close to loosing that one special person? I’m so glad his two neurons are finally connecting 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Never was Pen's apologist and honestly don't support most of her wrongs (though not a hater), but also kinda love the drama of Colin not knowing about LW before the engagement. Give me the hate fucking, let them being morally conflicted and yet unstoppably horny. S2 leads unhinged interactions were amazing, but there're always new kinky places, where we can take our little campy slutty show.

I'm bored, so we're doing this today
Bridgerton
I've been on the prowl on the internet searching for info, which I have gotten.
Since nobody has a COMPLIED LIST, I thought I might as well.
Let's start with the obvious.
LORD MARCUS ANDERSON
Is Lady Danbury's brother which means that there would be no Agatha-Anderson-Violet love triangle.
It is just a sister who doesn't trust her brother, protecting her friend from him (I think: at least that is the vibe I've been getting).
John Stirling, the 8th Earl of Kilmartin
Has been confirmed. He would be played by the very handsome Victor Alli.
I guess we will all weep bitterly when John Stirling kicks the bucket.
Viscount and Viscountess Bridgerton
They are most likely going to show up in only 2 episodes. Episodes 1 and 5.
Episode 1 is just them schmexing like rabbits while Episode 5 is them pregnant.
However, it is important to note that most of the screeners released are for the first 6 episodes. Well, the press people I stalked said they only got six episodes.
There isn't any proper gist about episodes 7 and 8... yet (I've not seen, sha).
Lady Whistledown Reveal
Is not BEFORE the wedding. It is AFTER the wedding. Colin will fall in love, clap cheeks and marry Penelope in blissful ignorance.
This last one is not really a spoiler, but a conspiracy theory I wholeheartedly believe.
I will be terribly heartbroken if it is not true but, here is it.
MASALI BADUZA
is Sophie Beckett and she would be coming into the picture by way of Will and Alice Mondrich.
That's all I've been able to gather.
So yeah. Enjoy.
