Happy New Year! 2022 is finally here. Today is day 1 of 365…what will you do with your time and energy this year?! Keep reading for a poem I wrote…

This started as a caption and turned into a full out poem! #CheersToUs 🙌❤️

Cheers to the women who do it all, who feel like the tiniest souls in this world but always keep going, always keep trying. We made it through this another year, growing and glowing through all of struggles and the good times too. Cheers to the women who started their business even when people told them they would fail. To the women who didn’t let nasty comments or rumors made up about them get their spirit down. Cheers to the fearless, unstoppable women who follow their dreams and pursue their passions in a world with ridiculous standards telling us what we should do with our time. Cheers to the women who love their bodies and embrace who they really are. To the women who will drop what they’re doing to help someone in need. We are the women who will change the world. We are the women who will create the future. Cheers to us.

This photo inspired me to write this because sometimes I feel like such a tiny, small part of this world. I feel like I don’t do enough so I keep pushing myself to do more. This made me reflect and realize that I work my a** off and I know that the right people notice it. To anyone who doubts themselves, don’t. Because you are doing your best and your best will be enough for the right people. 

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Swim Search gives me a place to learn and grow. This is my second year and I have already learned so much more about myself. These incredible women opened my mind and helped me to see what I am capable of. It is my dream to be the inspiration for others just as these women are to me. I am constantly inspired by how @oliviaculpo is always working and doing one amazing photoshoot after another. How @haleyybaylee created a space for us #nerdherd ladies to embrace our intelligence and rock a bikini at the same time.  How my fellow dancer @camillekostek gives us the confidence to break down doors and go after our dreams! I can literally keep going all day because these amazing women all make a difference in my life in so many ways. So as I pour my heart out to you in this caption turned into a heartfelt poem, enjoy your first day of 2022. Celebrate the amazing women you are and cheers to changing the world one day at a time!
