riverclan — year three — greenleaf
mudfur decides he's going to retire. he picks tadpolepaw as his new apprentice. this is not optional. mudfur is old and tadpolepaw is the only viable choice at the moment.
ridgefall, silverfang, sleetblossom, and willowface become warriors.
dandelionpaw and pinepaw die.
volepaw is apprenticed to emberdawn.
hawkkit dies, as does conekit.
leopardfur and rushtail have another litter, although rushtail agrees to raise them so leopardfur doesn't have to step down as deputy. their kits are bristlekit (the adored from round 1), juniperkit (grey and white tom with grey stripes and teal eyes), lightningkit (tom with teal eyes), pumicekit (dark grey tom with white freckles and hazel eyes), and slugkit (tom with amber eyes).
let's go!

Palebird and Sandgorse Family
Woollytail: solid cinnamon oriental longhair. 2 of their kits are “light brown” so I changed his coat completely to make it genetically accurate! Also he’s a longhair giving him his long, fluffy tail.
Tumblr media
Daughters: Rabbitheart and Wrenflight - both are oriental mixes, Wrenflight is solid cinnamon while Rabbitheart is a cinnamon bicolor! Also if u see their names in the tags there’s a few more posts about these two.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sons: Flycloud and Bristlepaw - white oriental longhair and a solid black BSH mix. Flycloud is actually the father of Thistleheart, who u can also check out in the tags! Same with Bristlepaw..he died when Brokenstar drove out WindClan. Bristlepaw was particularly close to his mother, so I like to think that his warrior name would have been Bristlewing, as a tribute to Palebird (a bird like suffix, and Bristlebird doesn’t really flow lol)

God, I abandoned this blog hard, didn’t I?
I’m looking back at the story and I still really like it! I’m just focusing on non warriors related content and am not going to release any more chapters. I’m going to tell you what I had planned for the story down below though!
To recap, the story follows a group of cats from each clan going on a journey to stop the extra long leaf-bare. At least that’s what they think they are doing! Riverclan got a very vague professy and some leaders believed them and some didn’t. Despite the discontent, 3 cats out chosen by the leaders to go on this journey. Cypresspool of Riverclan, Bristlewing of windclan, and Quailsnout of Skyclan head off. Bramblesar and Tigerstar think Riverclan interpreted the signs wrong and do not want to weaken their clan. They do not send any cats to go but two cats end up going anyways. Lightpaw of Shadowclan and Bristlepaw of Thunderclan sneak off from their respective clans. Lightpaw goes to prove herself to her childhood rival Sunpaw and get out of her fathers controlling paw, and Bristlepaw goes to seek adventure. The pair of them bond on there journey, nearly get run over by a truck, and Lightpaw is gay as heck. The cousins meet up with the rest of the group and get attacked by some humans that want to capture them. They are captured by these humans and are brought to a huge city. They escape from these humans with the help of a full of himself loner named Caleb.
The group encounters a group of rouges in the city after being abandoned by their guide. They got into a huge fight with these rouges.
That is where I stopped writing. Thank goodness the recap is over. Now we can get into the new stuff!
At this point in the story we are following Bristlepaw’s POV. Bristlepaws whole thing is that she treats life like a story. She became desensitized to death due to the Sickness that hit Thunderclan when she was born. She isn’t in touch with the real world. When the rouges attack she can’t hold her own in the fight. She is taken hostage and becomes very upset. This isn’t how her story is supposed to go! She nearly kills the rouge holding her with a cruel bite to the throat. Thankfully Cypresspool calms everything down and the group is brought to the rouges leader.
The rouge leader is a red she-cat named... Red. She isn’t very sympathetic to the clan cats but then it is revealed that her mate is the very rouge that was captured alongside the group, Caleb. Red agrees to help them find their way out of the city if they help them free the cats of their group that have been captured by the two legs. Reds adopted son has been captured by these rouges (she’s a trans-she-cat) The group agrees and spends a bit of time with this new group living in the alleyway. Bristlepaw trades stories with the group and learns a lot. Amid the rest,, she follows Quailsnout as he goes to an apartment and meets with a fluffy white kittypet he is having romantic involvements with. Quailsnout is a bit of a womanizer. Bristlepaw joins them as they have catnip but has a debate with Quailsnout over traditional vs modern values.
Eventually, they go and fight the humans that are taking cats captive. There is a huge fight with the two legs and everyone is nearly captured. They win the battle and escape with the cats. To everyone’s surprise, they find Sunpaw in a cage and Lightpaw frees her and carries her away.
This finishes off Bristlepaws POV. She learns to value life in the battle, and that stories can sometimes be terrible and she doesn’t have to be a cat of legend. The POV switches to Brindlewing of windclan.
Brindelwing is the leader of the group and is released when they are led out of the city. Sunpaw is extremely weak and they need to find a place to hide. They find an underground burrow in this dump and whole up there. Lightpaw is caring for Sunpaw. Sunpaw is very weak and in her moment of weakness confides in Brindlewing that she is very much in love with Lightpaw. Sunpaw didn’t know how to deal with her feelings and that’s why she was hostile towards the large she-cat. Brindlewing helps Sunpaw win Lightpaw’s affection in a string of romantic shenanigans. Lightpaw and Sunpaw end up getting together because of the big gay plan.
I actually still really like this relationship! I can’t really convey this in the summary, but’s it cute I promise!
Quialsnout comes to Brindlewing at the end and says she may have made someone happy, but she can’t make herself happy. He has correctly guessed that Bristlewing has feelings for another she-cat, Cypresspool.
Brindlewing lashes out that she’s a loyal Riverclan warrior, not a skyclan womanizer. Brindlewing wants to be deputy and can’t run off with another she-cat, no matter how much she wants too. There are no she-cats her age in her clan and she knows she is always going to be alone.
Brindlewing ends up cutting off her ties with Cypresspool in a sad moment. On a happier note, the group Starts travelling since Sunpaw is better and they get to the end of the twolegplace place where the sun fills the sky. They see the start of Greenleaf and Brindelwing says that there quest is over. Quialsnout says that it's not. They need to go further. Something doesn’t feel right.
Quailsnout starts his POV at this point. He convinces Brindlewing to go a little bit further on their journey. He thinks the prophecy was not about leaf-bare at all but actually about cats being captured. They travel deeper into the wilderness and he thanks Brindlewing for listening to him. He catches some prey in the tree’s and lazes around. While he rests, he meets a scared small spotted tom who is kinda insane. He won’t give Quailsnout any clear answers. Eventually,, the Tom reveals that he was part of a group of cats that was destroyed by the two legs. His entire “clan” was captured and given to two legs. Quailsnout and this tom reveal to the group that they must take this news back to the clans.
They journey back with this new Tom in tow. Quailsnout and the Tom become mates. Along the way back Quailsnout meets up with the white kitty pet and she shows she had his kits “much to the annoyance of her owner, she was a pure blooded Persian. Quailsnout has some fold in him and boasted to her about his pedigree but was a mongrel compared to her) Quailsnout relapses he has to take responsibility for his action and takes the kits when she asks. I forget what I named them but they were both really really cute. The group kinda raised them together as they travelled back to the clans.
When they get back to the clans, it switches to Cypresspools POV. Cypresspool is hurt by Brindlewings coldness but puts on a brave face as she greets the clan. Green leaf has come and he clan thinks they had succeeded. Tigerstar even tries to give Lightpaw her warrior name again, even if she refuses and wants to train more with her mentor. Cypresspool reveals the plan the group has come up with. The clans just split apart if they want to evade the notice of the two legs. This is greeted with anger but the clans agree to do it. The elders are all kept at these caves and the cats all split apart and live as loners for a while. This part of the story is really reloading and we get to see the cats from the journey taken to there families. Bristlepaw and Lightpaw try to get there mothers on better terms. Cypresspool gets Brindelwing to relax for once in her life. There is a lot of mixing between clans but everyone ends up really happy and a lot of new friendships are formed. The clans evade the humans trying to find them and eventually, things go back to normal. That is when the story ends!!
I was going to have one last chapter where we see where everyone is at. Lightpaw and Sunpaw are both warriors and are pregnant at the same time using their mates brighter as a surrogate! Brindlewing is the the deputy of Windclan. Quailsnout and his mate are adjusting to life in skyclan. Cypresspool has gotten over Brindlewing. At the end of the meeting, they all leave as very good friends.
Phew, that took forever to write out. That’s it for the series though! Even if I’m not continuing this series. I’m thankful to anyone who read it!
I also might post my reactions to the new broken code series one it comes out! It’s obviously going to be different from the stuff that I wrote, but I hope I like it!

riverclan — year four — leaffall
oof. for me, not for riverclan. kinda.
not surprisingly, mudfur dies. runningnose and spottedleaf have a stand-off, he loses, and oakpaw becomes oakfern and moves to riverclan.
vixenleap dies.
duskfur becomes a warrior.
creampaw, cypresspaw, and tanpaw die.
this happens:
baypaw -> sandstream bluepaw -> grasswhisker brightpaw -> ridgefall dewpaw -> greyeye firpaw -> leopardstar mintpaw -> silverfang pinepaw -> skyheart pricklepaw -> sedgecreek sappaw -> mistyfoot showerpaw -> oakfern sprucepaw -> softwing
and since you might have missed it, to reiterate:
mudfur's been trying to retire for over a year. windclan's medicine cat dies, forcing him to give up his apprentice at the age of nearly 13. he dies the season after that, and a three season old cat from shadowclan becomes sole seer for riverclan. she then takes an apprentice, because the clans are reasonably terrified of losing another seer.
cedarkit and frecklekit die.
bristlewing dies.
mosspelt has five kits, conekit (white she-cat with patches of red-tipped fur, big paws, and hazel eyes), freckledkit (pale grey tom with dark flecks and a white chest), pinekit (she-cat with a white chest), sequoiakit (she-cat with dark paws and gold eyes), and willowkit.
silverstream (and greystripe) have one kit, beechkit.
shyheart and heavystep die. as a very old cat and a cat with kidney issues, respectively, both of them are vulnerable to poison.
mooseflame retires due to worsening health issues.

Chapter 12
Lightpaw lifted her head. She knew she had snuggled up to Bristlepaw for warmth, but she had no idea why the rest of the cats had gotten so close to her. Quailsnout was tucked under her tail and Brindlewing was pressed against her side. Lightpaw felt her pelt heat as she realized they had all crept towards to the center of the space.
Lightpaw forgot about that awkwardness as she breathed our and a little cloud appeared in front of her head. She smiled, ears pricking as the cats around her moved around as the woke up.
Bristlepaw lifted her head, an odd expression on her face.
“What is it” Lightpaw mewed, quickly coming to attention.
“I smell something weird.” Bristlepaw mewed as soon as she got up.  Lightpaw didn’t smell anything but that didn’t matter. Though she had argued with her cousin about where to go she knew Bristlepaw had a very keen sense of smell.
The whole group was in alert now as they listened in on Lightpaw’s conversation. Their panic only grew as loud steps could be heard coming towards them.
“What is it?” The cats asked, looking at each other.
“I’ll check!” Lightpaw mewed. Before anyone could argue with her she settled down on her haunches and shuffled forward. She peeked out through the entrance to the hollow. The fear was making her pelt prickle, but the only way she could help herself was through action.
Lightpaw froze as she saw a shape looking at her. It was the twoleg. It had the same shape and smell as the two-legs she had seen after they had soundly trounced the dog. Lightpaw was no expert on telling two legs apart but she knew in her bones that this was the same one. She felt the same sense of unease as before as the two-legs stared at her.
The two-legs made a motion with his hairless paws and two other two legs appeared behind him. There one’s were dressed in similar colors and both had huge objects clutched in their hands. They looked like tree branches but ended in an odd hope. Lightpaw didn’t have time to piece it all together as she slowly backed up into the cat's makeshift den.
“There's a two leg outside, I think I’ve seen it before, he has two friends. They kept looking at me I think they want something bad.” Lightpaw spat out, hardly making any sense as her fur fluffed up.
“They must have followed us. I never should have listened to Quailsnout.” Brindlewing snarled, skinny tail lashing back and forth as she turned n the small tom. Lightpaw blinked in surprise. She had thought the she-cat was very calm. “We should have run away from this accursed twolegplace!”
“It will be alright.” Cypresspool mewed softly, but her voice was drowned out by the panic all around the Riverclan she-cat.
“We should hide.” Quailsnout mewed without enough shame in his voice for Lightpaw’s liking. They were warriors. Warriors shouldn’t hide.
“We should fight,” Lightpaw argued, pushing her way into the throng of cats.
“We should run.” Brindlewing mewed, shoving cats as she pushed off her hind legs. The rest of the cats looked at each other in panic before following the tall she-cat.
Lightpaw squeezed through the entranceway, following Brindlewing. Brindlewing was sprinting across the grass, her long legs eating up the distance. She couldn’t run in a straight line. She had to art back and forth to avoid the twolegs. They seemed to be everywhere. They were swinging their weird branches at Brindlewing as she made a break for it.
One of the sticks connected with the wind clan she-cat and Lightpaw yowled in surprise. Brindlewing was lifted up in the air, trapped in the hoop at the end of the stick.
Lightpaw yowled, pushing off the ground into an unsteady run.
Her father wasn’t here to make anything happen. She was heard to make thing happen. Lightpaw threw herself at the twoleg, aiming as high as she could go. She raked her claws against the twolegs midsection. The twoleg yelped in pain and Lightpaw darted away as quickly as she could.
She was too slow. She felt something collide with her and then she was lifted up in the air. Something was surrounding her. She could vaguely see through it and lashed out with her claws Lightpaw went completely silent eyes wide. It was the most scared she had ever been. There was nothing she could do in this situation. She had failed. Lightpaw took in a big gulp of air, feeling trapped in the small space. She tried to stop herself from yowling but found she couldn’t as she started moving through the air, bouncing with every step the two legs took.
Lightpaw tried to see where she was going through the strange meshy material she was trapped in. It looked like she was going towards a monster. Lightpaw started slashing at the air again, desperate to do something to stop her fate.
Lightpaw felt her world turn up as she tumbled downwards. She breathed a sigh of relief as the material fell away and she could see the world clearly again. Her relief disappeared into thin air as she looked around at her new surroundings. She was in some sort of strange two-leg den. She was surrounded on three sides and the two leg quickly slammed something shut and she was completely enclosed.
She could feel herself moving through the air again before being set down. She could only see out of one side of the den and what she could see was nothing good. She seemed to be inside the monster exactly like she feared. She was set down amide dozens of little dens exactly like hers. She could smell cats all around her, but they were none she recognized. Their scents were strange and only served to confuse her further.
Lightpaw breathed heavily, eyes darting back and forth. She was in a real mess now. She could be curled up in the Shadowclan warriors den next to her sister. Instead, she was in this awful place. All of this in order to prove herself. Was it even worth it?
Lightpaw forced herself to take slower breaths. It was worth it.
“Bristlewing.” Lightpaw called out, voice shaking. “Bristlewing are you there.”
Dead silence rang out. In Lightpaw’s panic, she hadn’t seen the monster's belly close, but it was now.  Lightpaw nearly burst out laughing. “I’m in a trap inside a trap,” she thought to herself. In her current state, she found that hysterical.
“I’m here.” a voice that sounded like Brindlewing’s mewed from Lightpaw’s left. Brindelwing wounded tired.
“What about the rest of the group?” Lightpaw hissed. She felt something like relief as the rest of the clan cats called out that they were also here. She knew it would be better for them if they had escaped, but the traveling group needed to stay together.
After they all had made each other presence known they all fell silent. Even the ever-positive Cypresspool was silent. Lightpaw could see her from the hole in the two-leg den. She was shaking like a leaf in a windstorm. “Were trapped but that alright. We’ll get out.” Lightpaw mewed, using her most boisterous voice so everyone could hear her. “Were in a cage.” Quailsnout mewed, his mew petulant. “I don’t think…” “Shut up Quailsnout.” Lightpaw mewed, interrupting him. “We are going to get out of here.” Lightpaw hadn’t proved herself. It was still cold and the clans were still struggling. This new group she had found was struggling, but they were going to get out of here. Lightpaw was going to keep trying until she was the bravest, strongest cat her clan had ever known. She was going to keep trying until all the snow was gone. That meant she wasn’t going to give up. “What are we going to do guys,” Lightpaw asked calmly, tucking her paws under her chest and taking in a deep breath.
