I'm not surprised, but I do feel a lot of warmth and pride in my heart knowing that day6 has become a group that's bigger than they've imagined. this wouldn't have been reality if this group didn't continue to stick together. through members leaving, through hiatuses, through military enlistments. they all clearly had each other and their comeback in mind. these guys are nearing their 10 year anniversary but they're as popular as they've ever been. their growth has been extremely organic and they certainly didn't hit the ground running after debut. after all their trials and tribulations I could imagine if there wasn't compromise and consolidation amongst the members they wouldn't have lasted this long. I remember when they'd all wish year after year to win best band at the year end awards, and they accomplished that amidst many more accomplishments that felt out of reach for them. day6 is a group that's always put music first and while their journey has by no means been smooth sailing, they have truly become legends in the making. I listen to day6 now and the my day in me can't help but feel emotional knowing how hard these guys have worked, and how happy they are to be together again.
