I have to ask, would Roba's vampire friend actually turn Vernon into a vampire? It's just hard to believe Roba would have actually gone through with the deal, given he seems to look down on humans. Would Vernon actually become a vampire, or was he just meant to be a little blood Capri Sun?

Oh absolutely not, Vernon was always gonna be doomed by his own hubris. He's ruled by short-term ambition, which is why Roba still lets him walk around like he has some form of authority, but all of Roba's men consider him a joke. If he ever actually managed to meet Roba's "vampire friend" it would've been as a meal.
