The Infernal Primal chuckled darkly down to the small spec of a mortal before him. How pathetic. Ember eyes glinted in the darkness, fire brewing in a gaping fanged mouth. 

“Daughter of man. Do you seek death so needily that you come to thy own domain? Thous truly must be of brave blood...or simply weak in the mind.” It taunted.

amid the snowy lands, she’s travelling with an ice spirte by her side who agrees to entertain her request to be her guide. her keeper is nowhere to be found, and she worries that he might be LOST ( when it was in fact, her who wandered from the path ). nevertheless, she endeavors to reunite with him to avoid propelling him into another wave of panic. what leads her stray was the gobbue she sensed, WOUNDED and riddled with bite marks over its body. poor creature, she thinks, and makes no hesitation to heal the typically passive and harmless being. not to mention, it has a rather cute face, no ? turning to the ice sprite, she tilts her head in wonder. ❛  might it be wise to ask the other sprites if they’ve encountered the keeper on his way ?  ❜    @brumeshot // ( sc. )

   The young Lord Commander watched her with great interest, one fine ebony brow perked with curiosity. Surly she had enough wine for the night. Had that been her sixth cup...? He couldn’t tell, she didn’t seem phased not one bit. Even the other soldiers gathered about the tavern watched from their tables around the two as they drank and talked. Call him impressed, he himself ashamedly only on his second mug. Then again he couldn’t go all out, that paranoia of being needed was always there to guide him.

“Goodness My Lady. You put me to shame.” He jested with a soft chuckle. It was times like this when he could be away from his desk that brought him a glimmer of mirth in his normally dull life style away from a battlefield. Well this beat paperwork anyday.

at first, at least, when they’d retrieve leia’s stolen egg, when they’d prevent the ixali from tainting the guardian tree, when they’d battle ifrit, titan and garuda alike. their enemies were MALICIOUS in plain sight and everything they’d done to vanquish them had felt so right.however, as they delved deeper in what’s this … ‘ heroism ’ ( he never quite believed such a term ), they saw more of what’s within their foes’ hearts, their BATTERED and gut wrenching past that caused their malice seems just as logical. since then, tough it was to see their actions as mere good ( not when they challenged their SUFFERINGS with their own very capable hands ), and more oft than not, they’re only playing DEVIL’S ADVOCATES.❛  those did come at a price,  ❜ he stiffly answers, hating how it just grips at his heart that’s filled with equal grief and REMORSE. hates how it’s boiling down to one question to make their choices clear — is it worth it ? ❛  many that i’m not proud … in paying.  ❜
