Already booked my first shift set and I am only causal. It's kind of scary thinking about working as an #RN for the first time. I only get two orientation shifts. One day shift and one night shift. The rest, I am on my own - no clinical instructor or buddy nurse. I'll be working along other RN and care aids. I hope everyone is friendly and supportive - teamwork is everything when you're working with patients, families, physicians, social workers etc. // changing up my #deskdecor. I haven’t been able to choose the words to express how I feel, which if you know me, is a rare occurrence. Will I be strong enough to put into words the void that envelops my existence, will I be wise enough to know when not to speak. I am at a crossroad, a road where the ultimate adventure lies in wait, full of promising sights and attractive interlopers filled with deceits. The road paved with the dreams and desires of unfulfilled nights and the words left unsaid, creating a sense of intimate euphoria, weakening your inhibitions, feigning an unachievable belonging that lies beyond the unknown. I become unraveled, unencumbered in my wake, enabling a false sense of contentment, masked by the many accolades and the endless milestones. I am the writer of my own making, as I’m led to believe by the countless unmoving smiles, leading me to believe the intricately woven misnomers.
