Flamesoul Healer of HollowClan
Flamesoul refuses to give up any part of herself, even to those she is most loyal to. She believes that you must respect yourself before anyone else, and that a life where you give everything up to someone else is not a life worth living.
Her overconfidence often led to bullying on her end, although she will argue that her actions made other cats stronger and more able to stand on their own four paws. It is clear that she gives little thought to others’ feelings, although she does care about maintaining relationships with those she is close to.
As an unruly kit, she was often the source of trouble for her mother especially. She became a healer apprentice early on, with her motives unknown to many. She and her mentor often fought, and when he croaked, Flamesoul had little sympathy for him.
The she-cat is possessive above all else, holding her wants close and her relationships even closer. Her family is her highest priority, although she does make room for others at times. She is a cat who cares little for rules, and will sometimes break them with no care for how she comes across.

Day 1: NPCs
The next day, I met up with Devon in her room and we logged in together. We appeared in the same spot where we logged out yesterday. I watched the members of BTS watch us through the glass. It was a little uncomfortable. A few of them looked like they were arguing with amongst one another. None of them looked happy.
I know that the premise of the game was to save them from a dire situation, BUT something told me they weren’t supposed to be acting like that. Was it a glitch?
Liz and Brianna logged on. Almost immediately, big block letters flashed on my monitor.
DAY 1: START
Under the announcement there was a countdown timer. It was set to 2 hours. I watched for a few seconds as it counted down. 1:59:58 ; 1:59:57…
The timer minimized itself to the bottom right corner of my monitor.
“Did everyone get that?” I asked. I watched as the girls nodded. “Looks like we have a time limit to finish Day 1’s quest.“
A quest notification popped up. “Hey, I have the quest stuff this time.” Devon said. Brianna and Liz confirmed that they also could see the quest objectives as well as the navigator. Everyone’s indicated that they need to unlock the door. Which we assumed was the locked door keeping the BTS members inside the recording room. I took a quick glance at the quest objectives. There were 5, but only the first and third was visible. The Rest were blurred out. Unlocking the door and filling out the map. I brought up the map. Part A was large. There was very little chance that we’d be able to complete that part if we stuck together as a group.
Lizzy was busy trying to get the door unlocked. “Ow!” she pulled her hand back. “If I fail, it shocks me…” she shook her hand out and frowned. “It feels like I touched an electric fence.” She whined a little before putting her hand back on the code pad, hesitant.
I ignored the ping of a notification. Instead of looking at the message, I tried to work out how to split us up. Ping. ping. Ping. ping. Notifications keep popping up.
“I got a friend request from all of them.” Brianna said, her voice a little excited. “Oh! I was invited to a group chat.”
I looked at her and then opened the notifications. I accepted the friend requests. “NPCs can’t send friend requests….” I muttered, confused.
“What’s NPC?” Devon asked.
“Non-Player Characters. Basically characters actual players aren’t playing. This is either a glitch or real people are playing.” I joined the group chat. “Liz are you almost done? Times ticking…”
Lizzy muttered something that I didn’t pay attention to. I was busy reading the messages that were popping up.
*RM created the chat* *J joined the chat* *JK joined the chat* *JH joined the chat* *V joined the chat* *JK joined the chat* *S joined the chat* *Brianna joined the chat* *Devon joined the chat*
Brianna: Hello!
RM: Are you players?
Brianna: We sure are! We are excited to play
RM: …….
RM: Be careful with the lock. It drains your HP.
Brianna: Don’t worry, Liz is good at this stuff. We will have you out of there in no time.
*BryAnna joined the chat*
*Devon joined the chat*
I minimized the chat without adding to it. “Got it!” Lizzy shouted. The lock beeped and the keypad flashed green. A notification informed me that the first objective has been completed. The next one flashed briefly on my screen. Reach the checkpoint undetected.
“You don’t have to yell about it.” I looked at our time remaining. 1:50:14. “We don’t have a lot of time.”
The boys had filed out of the room, looking only a little more at ease. “Time is running out. We need to split up in order to fill the map on time.” Jin said, rubbing his hands together. Even though he was clearly speaking Korean, I could still understand what he was saying. Must be some sort of amazing translation technology. I took a moment to admire his beauty before realizing what was going on. NPCs aren’t supposed to take charge. But it would be Jin who would say the rational thing in this situation. He is BTSs resident gamer.
This game isn't following any of the typical RPG dynamics, though. Usually at this point the NPCs would idk introduce themselves and gee maybe idk act like NPCs.
“Uh...yeah. We want to get everyone through the objectives safely. If we split into 4 teams we can clear the map in a short time and move on.” I continued, eyeing him up. Man those shoulders of his were just so sexy. “Liz - you take V and Jungkook. Brianna - Jin and Jimin. Devon - Jhope and Suga. I’ll bring Namjoon.”
“That sounds good. Two of the teams will have someone with good Stealth Stats.” Jin said, stepping closer to Brianna.
I decided to drop it. I’ll look into their odd behavior when we get to the checkpoint. Maybe look up the FAQs when we log off.
It took a minute for everyone to adjust their party info. I removed my friends from my party and added Rap Mon. I couldn’t see any stats of the other girls, but I could still see them on the map when I brought it up. Allies showed up as green dots, enemies showed up as red.  Easy.
We talked briefly about how to split the map for exploration. We also agreed to split any loot we found along the way.

Firbranch Warrior of CedarClan
Firbranch is a kind cat, open to helping others when it is needed and all the more willing to listen when someone needs a friend. However, this comes at a cost, as her primary motivating factor is following the rules no matter their value.
Firbranch prefers structure in her life, believing it is what truly makes them warriors. She holds a fair amount of disdain for rogues and kittypets, unable to believe that they are even remotely similar. She is a naïve cat for sure, which it makes it much harder for her to truly understand different perspectives.
When she found her sister, Myrtletuft, breaking the warrior code by meeting with a loner in secret, Firbranch ended up telling the leader. Her admission brought the exile of her sister, something that she has felt weighed down by since that day.
While Firbranch often acts on her naivety, she cannot be absolved from blame entirely. Her simplistic world view makes it hard to have deep, meaningful discussions that will make her truly consider her beliefs. When things get hard, she would much rather turn away and ignore her problems rather than face them head on.

Straystar Leader of EmberClan
Straystar sees “honor” in living the simple life, hunting and patrolling and possibly finding a mate someday. While the idea might seem boring or routine, the tom finds it incredibly appealing, being able to enjoy the small things as much as the big.
At a young age, he showed an affinity for pranks and mischief, but nothing major enough to get him into real trouble. This was and still is about as far as he is willing to go, although it is questionable about how much he truly cares about rules.
Straystar is an intelligent cat, if not a private one. He doesn’t share his troubles often, but he also isn’t the type to purposely keep things to himself out of secrecy. He will share when he wishes, and listen when needed. The tom is passive in all sense of the word, but still manages to attract some cats with his friendly and open appearance. He willingly follows those who show determination to lead, and rarely questions decisions made by them.

Ashenrain Warrior of CedarClan
Ashenrain is, in short, a cat who wishes to be much more than he is, but isn’t quite sure how to achieve his goals. This is a cat who will make friends with anybody if given the chance, and will do so with the willingness of a young kit first let out of the nursery. He knows how to get on a cat’s good side, but is often genuine with doing so, hoping to form legitimate bonds that will last rather than one-off interactions that only work to serve him and no one else.
As a kit, Ashenrain made the impulsive decision to become a healer apprentice. He entered into the world of herbs with no true drive to learn them. He comforted cats and did decently well at treating them, but his scattered thoughts and his tendency to wander caused more trouble.
With the healer growing old, he needed an apprentice much more than Ashenrain needed him, and so Ashenrain's brother unwillingly took his place in order to spare the Clan of further stress. This experience combined with their conflicting personalities have often left them at odds with each other as well as other cats.

BTSS CHARACTER PROFILE:
Straystar, previously Strayfeather Current leader of EmberClan
Some lead, some follow, but eventually, one must choose their path. For Straystar, it was as easy as serving his Clan and nothing more. He is an intelligent cat, if not a private one. He doesn’t share his troubles often, but he also isn’t the type to purposely keep things to himself out of secrecy.
When Straystar’s mother, Cloverdove, appointed him as deputy, he remembered all of the other times that she supported him, at the same time believing him to be someone he was not. He could fake his way through deputyship to please her, unwilling to fight against such strong beliefs, but it was only when he became leader in her place after an injury caused her to retire that he was finally forced to reflect on his decisions. His strength of heart makes him compassionate for sure, but his uncertainty and tendency to fold under pressure may only serve to lead him and his Clan into misfortune.

BTSS CHARACTER PROFILE:
Fogstar, previously Fogsplash Current leader of HollowClan
A leader’s word is law. Fogstar entrenches himself in this ideology—no doubt, no contradictions. A Clan is best led firmly and succinctly. Any confusion or wiggle room could topple every foundation. That is, if there is anything to complain about. If one rules properly and gives the Clan everything it needs, support will follow seamlessly. This is his core modus operandi.
Fogstar, like HollowClan itself, keeps knowledge about himself and his thoughts sparse. And yet, his pride is boundless—in his Clan and in himself. The tall tales surrounding HollowClan exist for a reason, and he is all about putting them front and center. He carries himself like the whole of StarClan stands behind him. The ability to speak a lot but say nothing is his most lethal weapon. Fogstar is friendly, but it is a legitimate question on how genuine it is.

BTSS CHARACTER PROFILE:
Tinystar, previously Tinybreath Current leader of CedarClan
Tinystar aimed to strive for the stars—she was always the first up and the last to sleep during apprenticeship, practicing her hunting and battle moves even when she wasn’t training. Tinystar tries her best to make decisions that are in the best interest for her Clan, even when she feels like she can’t ever live up the title of leader.
Besides the issues that she has with herself, Tinystar harbors a dislike for those who live outside a Clan, tending to be aggressive and hostile towards any loner or rogue that happen to even wander near their borders. The dislike is mellowed when interacting with the other Clans, but she hates when they try to encroach on her territory and she is almost religious in wanting patrols to mark their borders as frequently as they can.

EmberClan has claimed the rocky moorland as its territory, with scattered trees and slopes making for a very open hunting area. They are small-bodied cats with lean, muscular bodies and tough paws that allow them to dig through the dirt and withstand the harsh rocky grounds. Over many moons, they have developed skills in tunneling and as such, wear shorter pelts than the other Clans to keep their fur free of debris that would otherwise hinder them. More strict and traditional than the other Clans, logic reigns over feelings quite easily in this Clan, with cats following what is most practical rather than what their personal feelings tell them. EmberClan tends to work towards goals rather than aspirations, and will often take the word of StarClan over those around them, relying more on their healers than other Clans might. Despite their strong base, however, their lack of empathy and emphasis on structure can often make those within the Clan feel lost or out of place, with their opinions only being a part of a whole.
More information coming soon!
