I just think it’s crazy that Buffy and Spike—the hero and the villain, representations of light and dark, the girl with the name “Summers” and the guy who can only go out at night—end up co-parenting a kid named Dawn

Those are her parents. That’s literally a little family to me. When Ben says he’s “a friend of the family.” that’s how I choose to take it

Anyway, I just think that Spike and Dawn are sitting on the couch watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas and drinking eggnog and I think somebody got Spike a Santa hat as joke because they thought it would ruin his aesthetic but jokes on them he kinda likes it and red is his color and I think Buffy, Dawn, and Spike have a very aggressive competition every year where they try and get each other the ugliest sweaters they can possibly find and theres penalties if you don’t wear your sweater like maybe whoever doesn’t has to do all the laundry or take out the trash or something for the whole month of January. I think that one year Spike and Dawn got Buffy this just for funnies

I think that Buffy and Spike get into snowball fights in the graveyard on patrol and try to ambush each other.

Looking at the Media and going Insane etc etc but a very underrated moment is Spike pacing back and forth in this scene in Blood Ties, hands on his hips in the Parent Pose, worried and probably feeling really guilty about Dawn running off even if he did think she deserved to know the truth

Thinkin’ about how if they’d spent the night at the gas station in Spiral, Buffy and Spike probably would’ve made a little spot somewhere and slept on either side of Dawn

Hello hi currently losing my mind over the After Life script. It’s already an iconic episode but like there’s so many little things in the script that just enhance that???

Like a cut scene of Spike panicking because he can’t find Dawn.

Personally I think that S7 Dawn should have traded kleptomania for pyromania. I think that woulda been great. She was already threatening to light people on fire and tried to light that vampire on fire in Potential. But S7 almost low key tries to be like “Dawn is SO normal and well adjusted now she’s All Grown Up 🙂” and maybe that’s what some people think but actually she REALLY wants to light people and things on fire. Buffy has to constantly remind her to “only light the bad guys on fire.”

“Andrew is a hostage and also he cooks.”

When the Bringers attack the house in Never Leave Me, she discovers the wonders of a lighter and hairspray. She throws a molotov cocktail at a Ubervamp one week later. Nobody is 100% sure where she learned how to make them.

Spike and Buffy being the only two to climb the tower to save Dawn is something that can be so personal actually

Ok but Season 5 Spike and Buffy at the height of their worrying about Dawn era and the ‘somebody superhuman needs to be with Dawn at all times lest the Hellgod show up’ era and maybe it’s Spiral and everyone gets out for a while to stretch their legs and go into the gas station and Buffy and Spike bump into each other, look up and immediately say “Where’s Dawn?” simultaneously followed by another simultaneous and panicked “I THOUGHT SHE WAS WITH YOU?!” And then it’s them frantically running around and freaking out because THEY LOST THE CHILD SHIT

I just think Buffy, Dawn, and Spike had a movie night once and they forced Spike to watch Dracula movies and he complained and whined and criticized the whole time. He was just absolutely insufferable about it and they laughed so much and threw popcorn at him and had to shush him constantly. Halfway through he started calculating the interest for how much money Dracula actually owes him now.
