Browsing Dalong’s non-grade kit photos and accidentally discovered why the HGUC GM is such a weird desaturated baby blue color…

…it stems from the old kit! 0079 never had a GM this color, so it always bothered me why they chose that color of plastic (we had white GMs, dark bluish-grey GMs, and minty Jeagan-green GMs but no baby blues, I checked!) Still an odd choice to keep that shade of plastic, but if you paint your Gunpla anyways I suppose it’s not much an issue.

I painted mine expressly because it was way too blue next to the Gundam, just look at it! Either way, since we have a Revive Gundam and a Revive Zaku can we PLEASE get an update for little ol’ GM?!

My major gripe with UC Gundam is the term “Custom” being used to described an advanced version of a base model, because that makes it really hard for me to find customized Gunpla builds of certain suits. Like it’s a neat naming scheme in-universe but here in the real world it makes it harder for me to admire cool Gundam models.

“No, I want pictures of customized Zaku III’s, not the Zaku III Custom!”

Today I woke up sick. Today kind of sucks.

If model kits from Zeta Gundam have taught me anything, it’s that the studio had an excess of yellow paint because I swear all of them have random dots and triangles of yellow in the strangest of places. This makes the sticker priorities on Zeta kits kinda wack, and then you get some you’re supposed to fold over small bumps and they’re the worst. It’s just weird.

Do I wanna be salty about Minecraft on my blog? Yes, yes I do.

Saw there’s a new round of mob votes and I feel the need to point out a pattern I’ve noticed in these past few votes:

• Option 1) A cool thing that adds some depth and/or has some decent use

• Option 2) A cool thing that adds some depth and/or has some decent use

• Option 3) A feature that looks brokenly powerful or insanely cool based on presentation, but after the presentation is clarified to not be that cool or busted

And option 3 wins. Consistently, this happens. I’m salty at Mojang/Minecraft/Microsoft for even misrepresenting a feature to begin with, but more importantly what is stopping them from just… ya know… putting all of them in the game? Minecraft isn’t a little indie startup anymore, it’s THE best selling video game of all time AND it’s owned by Microsoft, multi-billion dollar company Microsoft. There’s no way you can claim a “lack of resources” to implement these features unless your management is intentionally keeping teams smaller and deadlines shorter. It just baffles me.

Working on color correction and clean-up on a Gaplant [Hrairoo] I built last year, and I failed to notice I had built one of the knees upside-down until I finished seam removal. Not a huge deal since this kit is kind of a brick anyways, but still annoyed I’m 2 for 2 on “good seam removal, but a part is backwards”

This Advance of Zeta chart gives me a stroke every time I think about it and I actually know 75% of what it’s saying. Even still, I find myself asking…

The designs are neat but it’s a lot.

Also how in the everloving hell does The O have any relation to the Gaplant? I’m 99% certain that’s bullshit.

Played through the Donkey Kong Country trilogy and its a fun time but I think Kiddy Kong takes the cake for “most obscure and obtuse ability a platformer character can have” because the game tells you at no point how to make him skip over water like a stone and the setup for it is so hyperspecific I don’t think ANYONE could have figured that out without reading the manual.
