To Travel or Not To Travel
Day 5...
First time overseas.... Everything was just beautiful, i loved every single minute.
Because my spouse was supposed to be there for while, they, the company, rented a house/appt for him. There I was, living like a British people. Cooking, doing groceries, putting the garbage outside, saying hello to the mail man, and traveling and traveling, by train (something that I LOVE). ah i forgot to say that i did not speak one single word in english. Everything i was doing, i was doing with a dictionary with me.  I even make a grocery store security to allow me to go in even though they had already closed it.  Well the sign outside was showing 7pm, and it was like 6:58pm. They let me in, who would fight with a crazy lady who does not speak the language and was at the door begging to go in, hmm? ....

To Travel or Not To Travel
day 1...
To Travel or not to travel with my busy, business spouse?
Travel!! It will always be the answer, as long as you do not cost a dime to their employer.
But they will be working, so what will I be doing?
Traveling, traveling like any other tourist … while they are in mtgs, conferences, you will just be a tourist in a city that you maybe have never been before.
Enjoy and explore it as much as you can ...

To Travel or Not To Travel
Day 8...
We travel, again, try to live a life like we would not be back here, ever. I think I know more states in the USA than in my home country. we travel with him when he needs for his job, and we travel when he could get some free time.
When he was working, me and the kids would go out just driving around getting to know places, remember I am talking about a 3 years old and a baby (5 months). Today when i talk about it, i realize how crazy it was, but at the moment, i did not. And it all worked out very well.
My son would ask me what they were talking during a children tv show and i would have to look and dictionary, caption was like nothing to me. By the time i realize what the person said, it was too late, so i started to make up dialogues. Easy and i would make him happy.
My baby was just being a baby. Everything was new to me, we were growing together. and remember, no internet for help.
But nothing stopped us to go with daddy almost everywhere, We were and still are located in Texas. So anywhere that would be possible to drive, well i am talking about inside Texas, we would drive and the whole family would go. If the travel require airplane, well, we would still go, but not all of them. $$$
Sometimes we would fly to a x place and then rent a car and drive all the away to the final destination. it was fun!
The kids grew up traveling by car, plane, train… no matter how, just travel...

To Travel or Not To Travel
with my spouse?
Day 7...
My time in Newcastle  got to the end, and my spouse had to stay by himself.
After that experience, that i lived like never more, took a while for us to do it again, kids came along, my job was like crazy, but at one point he again needed to go and stay for long period of time, i didn’t like when he was in England and i was in Brazil, yes, we are from Brazil.
So, we packed our luggage and off we went again… now USA.
I had a 3 year old and a 4 months old. I have never taken care of them alone, always had helpers, nannies, maid, … it was something, lets say.
USA here we go, Texas! I was with my husband, that was important for our family. My job? Well again I put it on hold … i really thought i would go back no later than 6 months, so it would be just a crazy, fun, busy experience...

To Travel or Not To Travel
Day 6...
That was an incredible time. During the weekends, just like when we were at home, we would go to different city or countries. It was amazing! our approache was and always have been like that one was our only oppurtunidy to do it. each place we went, we went like we will never be able to come back. Nothing was left for a next time. That was the time.
I got to go to Scotland, France, and so many places in the UK. Amazing!! There was a time when I had to show the driver my dictionary so he could understand what i mean… but this did not make me to give up.
When it was time for me to go back home, my husband would have to stay alone, i just called my job and told them, i would stay a month longer it was like, take it or leave it. Surprisingly they took it, later i even got promoted bcs the away i look thing, no fears.
My time in Newcastle, UK  got to the end, and my spouse had to stay by himself ...
