3 MINUTES OF SILENCES

This is a text score. To play CD-rs it is recommended to use standalone CD-Player. You will also need a computer with CD burner and DAW (eg. Audacity).

1) Using software generate 3 minutes of good quality silence (44.1 kHz, 24 bits, stereo)

2) Burn 3 minutes of silence on CD-r and create Audio Disc

3) Break the Audio Disc using sandpaper. Disk cannot be read by CD player

4) Burn 3 minutes of silence od CD-r and create another Audio Disc

5) Destroy the Audio Disc but this time gently using a highlighter, pen and screwdriver. Disc has to be read by CD player

6) Record the silence from the Audio Disc to a DAW

7) Silence from 6) burn on CD-r and create Audio Disc

8) Destroy the Audio Disc using pen, adhesive tape and blades

9) Record the silence from the Audio Disc to a DAW

10) Silence from 9) burn on CD-r and create Audio Disc

11) Destroy the Audio Disc using a solder cleaner

12) Record the silence from the Audio Disc to a DAW

13) Silence from 12) burn on CD-r and create Audio Disc

14) Destroy the Audio Disc by sliding it with your foot on a floor

15) Record the silence from the Audio Disc to a DAW

16) Silence from 15) burn on CD-r and create Audio Disc

17) Destroy the Audio Disc using highlighter, solder cleaner and pen

18) Record the silence from the Audio Disc to a DAW

19) Silence from 18) burn on CD-r and create Audio Disc

20) Destroy the Audio Disc with pen

21) Record the silence from the Audio Disc to a DAW

22) Silence form 21) burn on CD-r and create Audio Disc

23) Break the Audio Disc with highlighter and pen so it won't be read by any CD-player

24) Silence from 21) burn on CD-r and create another Audio Disc

25) Destroy the Audio Disc with highlighter and solder cleaner

26) Record the silence from the Audio Disc to a DAW

27) Silence from 26) burn on CD-r and create Audio Disc

28) Destroy the Audio Disc using boogers, screedriver and pen

29) Record the silence from the Audio Disc to a DAW

30) Silence from 29) burn on CD-r and create Audio Disc

31) Destroy the Audio Disc with solder cleaner and needle

32) Record the silence from the Audio Disc to a DAW

33) Silence from 32) burn on CD-r and create Audio Disc

34) Break the Audio Disc with a permanent marker covering all the surface of the disc so it won't be read by any CD Player

35) Silence from 32) burn on CD-r and create another Audio Disc

36) Destroy the Audio Disc with just one small dot made with permanent marker

37) Record the silence from the Audio Disc to a DAW

38) Silence from 37) burn on CD-r and create Audio Disc

39) Destroy the Audio Disc with permament marker and pen

40) Record the silence from the Audio Disc to a DAW

41) Silence from 40) burn on CD-r and create Audio Disc

42) Break the Audio Disc with a pen, solder cleaner, and permanent marker so it won't be read by any CD Player

43) Silence from 40) burn on CD-r and create another Audio Disc

44) Destroy the Audio Disc with a pen

45) Record the silence from the Audio Disc to a DAW

46) Silence from 45) burn on CD-r and create Audio Disc

47) Destroy the Audio Disc with sandpaper

48) Record the silence from the Audio Disc to a DAW

49) Silence from 48) burn on CD-r and create Audio Disc

50) Break the Audio Disc with sandpaper so it won't be read by any CD Player

51) Silence from 48) burn on CD-r and create Audio Disc

52) Destroy the Audio Disc with solder cleaner and adhesive tape

53) Record the silence from the Audio Disc to a DAW

54) Silence from 53) burn on CD-r and create Audio Disc

55) Destroy the Audio Disc with pen

56) Record the silence from the Audio Disc to a DAW

57) Silence from 56) burn on CD-r and create Audio Disc

58) Destroy the Audio Disc with sandpaper

59) Record the silence from the Audio Disc to a DAW

60) All recordings of silences from above put together and layer them on the top of each other in DAW. You can use limiter but it is not necessary

61) OPTIONAL: You can cut layered silences in lathe cut; as a blank recording disc you can use broken and destroyed Audio Discs

62) All recordings of silences put together in order of creating them in one long track. Don't use limiter. You can use spacial effects to widen stereo image

63) All recordings of silences put together in order of creating them in one long track. Use limiter during mastering and rendering. Call this track "All 3 minutes of silences - radio edit"

64) Do not feel guilt about wasting CD-rs and time

65) Enjoy the silences! Sharing it with others is not recommended nor necessary.
