i need those two posts to brawl it out with metal chairs, because despite them both "preferring" the manga it does reveal why people prefer the movie over the manga and viceversa. the manga is usually liked for characters arcs, while the movie for thematic clearness (at the end).

#txt #and like imho the movie and the manga have *technically* the same message #but admitedly in the manga it gets shadowed by the more compelling (at least on investment) satisfaction around arcs about awful people lol #and i don't necessarily think the movie on its own and its ending is bad just because it's a downer. because depriving the audience of #The Epic Bloody Final Battle is intentional and in line with what it wants to say #but how i feel overall is that it's sorta silly to try to reconcile how most of the plot of the manga is presented with the ending of the #movie. or the movie's plot with the manga's ending because they just don't match.#ichi da killa
