working on my gale/caradoc slice of life thingy (too tired for dorian/wyll), having a lot of fun writing astarion experiencing what I would call friendship jealousy? like those people are HIS friends, and they are his first true friends, and fine he didn't like caradoc (or gale) much at the start but now that's one of HIS best friends, THEY saved the world together, and fine lae'zel clearly comes first but then HE is the closest one to them, thank you very much! and then he runs into caradoc's best friend from before the tadpole and no, he is not jealous, what does he have to jealous of, of a... ...of a dark gnome paladin.

#antiqua write #antiqua plays bg3 #look I think it's very funny that astarion spent all of act 1 and early act 2 going 'UGH' and then. and then he got hit in the face #by the power of friendship #but also I feel like since he associates his friendship with caradoc not just with the fun they have but all the help caradoc gave him #I feel like his insecurities in this friendship would be like. is this gonna last beyond all the Big Adventuring And Trauma stuff #or does caradoc genuinely like his company?#and then he meets caradoc's best friend from his normal life and at first glance the clearly has more in common with lae'zel than astarion #so he would be like okay. i am feeling new feelings about this friendship #this is inspired the fact that if you tell him you have not seen him since he run away from the sun (which I obviously am not buying)#he says I was feeling very ashamed and insecure about stuff #so in this version where caradoc waits him out in the sewers as soon as the sun goes down he gets new insecurity #he is also rebuilding his life while everyone else is so obviously moving on #it's a lot #he'll find out he and felix actually get along great. but not yet #also his 'archnemesis' being a gnome paladin it's super funny to me okay
