Encanto ‘Falling Apart AU’

(Inspired by a post made by @horror-ofthe-seas​ that I reblogged and added stuff onto. I’m sorry to everyone who has already had to read my thing explaining this AU)

Okay, so, Encanto AU concept. It’s like and Evil Bruno AU, but also not at all.

My initial thing I wrote was this:

I’ll call this the ‘Falling Apart AU’ (because can I even name things properly ever? Is it even really an AU, or just an alternate version of Bruno’s personality?). My idea of this isn’t even really a villain Bruno AU, just something like this post. For this, everything is close to being the same as canon, with Bruno’s motivations for leaving being the same, and he still loves his family and wants to help them, but he also has some deeply buried resentment in regards to the miracle and how he was treated. He is aware that lashing out is a bad idea and he shouldn’t do anything too extreme, but 10 years in the walls and mainly talking to rats is just generally picking away at him. He is constantly two seconds away from completely losing his sanity, so he will occasionally just have these moments of ‘actually, destroy everything’ but have to remind himself that ‘no no, that would be evil, and we’re not gonna be evil.’

So Mirabel just meets him and it’s like, the song was half right (besides the fact that he is freaking SHORT), he does have a weird look in his eyes, but I’m less scared and more concerned about his mental health. So Bruno’s just out here vibing and clearly needing a therapist, with Mira just being slightly overwhelmed by the chaotic energy. Then he may or may not have a small mental breakdown, and occasionally just have moments of ‘we should destroy the magic’ before calming himself down and telling himself that no, we don’t do that. Then there a few instances of poor Mira having to just grab him by the shoulders and remind him that no, we are not doing that. So there’s just a section of the movie and story that is just; ‘small, vaguely unhinged rat man has anger issues and intrusive thoughts.’

I’d just love that. He really would be that crazy aunt who lives in the attic- I mean walls. Also, he would be a tío.

Anyways, not evil, just a mess who needs someone to keep an eye on them.

MHA CHARACTERS: CAN THEY SING HEADCANNONS

I saw a post talking about if your characters could sing, so I thought maybe I could try it out for MHA, just to put some of my writing out there. (I’m currently editing a Bakugou x Reader oneshot I wrote, so please sit tight for that.)

CLASS 1-A boys

Izuku Midoriya

Yes

But hearing his voice is very rare

It’s like a “I’m listening to music and studying and this song just makes me want to sing.” Kind of moment

I think since his voice is already higher pitched, he has a voice like Cavetown.

It just makes your heart melt❤️

What a precious baby

Shoto Todoroki

Again yes

And also very rare

Hearing Todoroki sing is like a whole cultural reset.

It’s soft, and makes you kind of sleepy

Sort of in the middle of deep and high, like a tenor range.

Like a Wallows or Oh Wonder kind of voice.

Tenya Iida

Definitely has kind of an untrained voice.

Something that’s overall up to your opinion.

He may not be able to sing as well, but this man can make a whole crowd fall asleep humming a lullaby.

Definitely deeper voice range.

There’s no one I could think of at the moment, if you could think of someone, then, yes.

Imagine him just hugging you and humming softly in your ear. Maybe cause your stressed or something. I’m getting carried away

If he did, it’s would probably be very scratchy

Again, doesn’t sing much

A higher pitched voice like Izuku.

He just hums softly and pets his rabbit

What a sweet bean.

If he does sing, I’m thinking like, Winter Aid.

Soft, sleepy, not very showy, just perfect.

Again, I love him.

Rikido Sato

My decision is based on science not opinion though.

I do appreciate this man

But sugar is not good for your vocal chords.

It causes inflammation in the body. Throat included, thus meaning Sato probably doesn’t sing as well as you’d expect.

He probably clears his throat a lot. That stuff builds up and oof.

Mashiro Ojiro

I literally have no idea

I’m thinking a voice that could totally sing traditional songs, with lots of training.

An acquired taste.

He also does not get enough screen time for me to know for sure.

Why did they make him so plain?

With all that yelling he does, I thought no way.

Then I thought perhaps, Can you Feel My Heart by Bring Me The Horizon?

He has a very limited range

To the point where when asked if he could sing, he just says something like “why would I waste my time seranading losers like you?”

Or on a good day, “these extras couldn’t handle my voice.”

I’m pretty sure he was the last. I hope you liked this. If you have anymore headcanon ideas please lmk. I’d be happy to write them. There will be a part two with the girls

I’ll also do another one including teachers, students from other schools or classes too. Doing one from heroes and villains would also be fun.

Drop suggestions of what you think characters sound like when they sing. I’ll try to incorporate that too.

Also if someone else has already done a post like this, and they look the same, it is purely coincidental. I know I’m not the first to think of something like this.
