all my dialovers muses tend to have their fangs at the much shorter / more canine in appearance due to their ability to change their appearance and blend in with those around them. truthfully, their canines are always a little too 'sharp' to appear wholly human, but it's only when spending too much time staring into their mouths would one fully pick up on it, presumably brushing it off due to stylistic / dental choices in the end.

when exposed to the scent of blood, or in close proximity to a bleeding wound / injury do they struggle to keep it in place wholly, wherein their fangs will slightly expand to a medium length, this is also the main appearance on their end after they have drunken someone blood, as their fangs automatically shrink somewhat due to the wish to clean up the mess now that they have created it.

the true size of their fangs are mainly felt over seen, as they solely come out when the vampire plans to feed / is feeding. if indulged enough, they will choose to stay that length for a while because all other thoughts are kept from their brains. otherwise, theres a chance to see them if a vampire has gone without blood for far too long, the need / understanding to appear human to lure people out taking second place to ultimately the inerrant need for eat that lingers under their skin.
