For a moment, even though the timeline doesn’t work, I had a flash of Charlie & Esfir as buddies throughout elementary school, then reconnecting after everything that happened. Sadly, the timeline doesn’t work :( As an alternative, I propose: dreamlike encounter that involved Charlie going on a one-time adventure and then never seeing one another again until now, likely due to Esfir losing track of where he lived or something!

For a more recent connection, it could be something like… her consulting on matters of magic and him seeking advice? A chance aura reading? I think it would be super interesting either way!
